I'm kinda confused what to use for regular wiping of my car. I have it washed every other week but regularly wipe of the dust and stains using a damp rag (as recommended in manual). But what should I use?

    a. pranela
    b. chamois
    c. synthetic (non-abrasive) rag - the one that should be wet when used and become hard when dry; it's like a foam when wet.
    d. cotton rag
    e. towel - what is a terry towel? how different is it from regular towel like bath towel or face towel?
    f. micro fiber towel/rag - not sure what this is too.

somewhere back in time i heard somone say na chamois is the best, coz if you wipe it on an area na me buhangin, babaon yan sa chamois, hence it won't scratch the surface of your car

fyi, i think you're better off with the more expensive chamois brands(250+). ung mga cheap ones feel like real chamois, pero pansin ko lang di ganun kagaling sumipsep. Ung sa SM na 3 for 100, parang di bagay sa car....pero in fairness they're quite handy around the house

    hold it dude!

your car must be saying ouch...

wiping is a no-no. if you want to remove the dust from day-to-day use, buy a cali duster (there's a thread here somewhere about it)

when drying your newly washed car use a terry towel (100% cotton) but don't wipe it, just lay it flat on the the panel and let it absorb the water, then whatever is left use a micro fibre cloth.

Absolutely false. A chamois is first and foremost an absorbing tool and not a wiping tool.

Vegeta, nun nasa States ako madalas din ako dumaan sa car wash... $3 for regular... then once a month $5 wash... pero meron akong allowance noon for that... ngayon dito sa Phils, di ko magawa na laging magpa-carwash so every other week pa-carwash (manual dito) and once every 2 months wash with wax... tapos every other day, I do a little cleaning on my own (water lang).

    4. ever since my girl crashed her sport bike, laging hinihiram ang truck maski madumi. pagbalik sa akin, madumi pa rin!!!
    5. talk about cleaning the tires and wheels? yung isang gulong, tatlong patches ang itinapal dahil tatlong pako ang nakabaon the last time I had it vulcanized. yung rear tires, pudpod na dahil lagi ko hinahataw sa mga stoplight. yung chrome wheels that came with the package.....lagi napuputikan!

meron ako cali duster dati. pinitik ng tatay ko since lagi naman daw madumi truck ko pati brand new yung van nya. wala na ako nasabi.

napansin ko, okay lang yon sa mga dust na hindi pa masyado kumakapit sa vehicle (gawa ng moisture and other factors).
