    Hi.

I just made a new post on my blog.

Tested the scratch-filling capability of the Eagle One Nanowax

    Your comments are welcome.

    Thanks.

Great job on the CRV. I also use Nanowax but I don't get the same results. As you said, you have to apply multiple coats before it really hides the swirlmarks.

Is this a hobby or are you a pro?

    hi bro!

just a bunch of questions if you don't mind...

what do you mean when you say 4 coats?

from the way I understand it...apply 1 coat of wax then wipe then apply another coat again then wipe it and so on until the fourth? tama ba? hehe

and what is the purpose of the porter cable?

did you use a buffering machine to achieve this shine?

and last where did you get all the stuff you used in this detailing experience of yours? and how much did it cost you?

    TIA...

    It's just a hobby.

Yes. Apply, then wipe off, for 4 times.

The Porter Cable is a type of buffing machine. And yes, it's one of my tools to achieve shine on the paint.

Some things were bought here. Many Mothers and Meguiars products can be bought at Blade, True Value, or Han's Tools.

Others, such as the Porter Cable 7424 and the Lake Country pads were bought online at Autogeek.

As to the cumulative cost, it could be said that it's a bit substantial. Pero it should be noted na hindi naman ito isang bagsakan, ika nga.

    HTH

*jon: Nice job again! You never fail to amaze me with the results of your detail, what EO nanowax did you use? the blue or the red one with polish? So im guessing this is better at filling swirls and scratches as compared to NXT?

    Thanks.

I think I have the very first bottle pa - the gray one with black label.

I've read somewhere in the Meguiar's forum that the NXT 2.0 filled scratches better. If I recall it correctly, the member compared a number of waxes and there he discovered that the NXT hid scratches well compared to the other waxes, such as the Nanowax.

    Yup. Good observation. Thanks.

That's why in my opinion, if I were to spend some time and effort to improve the shine on the paint, I'd rather remove than fill those scratches. In that detail, I eventually used the Meguiar's Ultimate Compound for paint defect removal on the CR-V.

Well, in the long run, it would be much better if the persons touching the paint would practice proper washing and drying techniques, so that the occurrence of having those scratches would be minimized in the first place.

I've found the particular post in the Meguiar's forum. It's post number 44 in the thread "The 9 wax showdown!"
