Scratch (chipped-off paint) restoration

My car has some scratches near the headlights because of a parking incident. Here are the pictures:









How will they remove those scratches? Will it be an entire panel repaint only? Or is it possible to repaint only that area?

Sir yun white mark kaya pa sa rubbing pero yun lumabas yun plastic di na kaya repaint na talaga. Touch up paint mo na lang dahil maliit lang naman yun gasgas.

canvass ka sa area mo ng mga car repaint shop. around 3k per panel pag sa casa. around 2k pag sa outside shops.

Hindi ba delikado kapag talyer lang? Nagtanong ako sa carmagic.net , 3800 daw ung panel nila e.. ang mahal.

Saka not necessarily naman na dito sa area ko ung gumagawa.. What I need is a reputable car repainter talaga. Kung meron sa Ortigas Ave. or Taguig mas maganda pero kung may mas magaling na iba na medyo malapit lang naman, pwde rin.

Doesn't look too bad naman. If you can live with it, wait until it accumulates more battle scars before panel repainting.

Panel repainting also has its own cons. For example, if it wasn't really done competently, you'll have problems with off-shade wherein the repainted body panel is noticeably different in shade (not color but shade) than your factory paint.

Ipasok mo na lang sa CASA, para kung meron backjob mabilis ang usapan.

Let say ang matitipid mo ay 3K kung ipapagawa mo sa labas, pero kung magka problem ka later on ano ang value ng 3K sayo.

Let say ang matitipid mo ay 3K kung ipapagawa mo sa labas, pero kung magka problem ka later on ano ang value ng 3K sayo.

Masyado talagang mahal sa CASA. Ok lang ako sa backjob basta reputable yung gagawa.

How about light scratches sa brand new car? I think hindi naman inabot sa paint mismo yung scratch. Kaya kaya yun ng wax at polish lang? Every week nagkakaroon ng light scratch na kasinghaba ng ruler yung auto ko. 3 weeks old na auto ko at 3 scratches na ang meron. Tia!

also, marami nagsasabi more or less 3k ang panel repaint... how much do you guys think if may kasamang small dent na kailangan i-repair?

How about light scratches sa brand new car? I think hindi naman inabot sa paint mismo yung scratch. Kaya kaya yun ng wax at polish lang? Every week nagkakaroon ng light scratch na kasinghaba ng ruler yung auto ko. 3 weeks old na auto ko at 3 scratches na ang meron. Tia!

assuming di inabot yung paint pero yung layer ng top coat sagad... i suggest you need to repaint sir.. kahit po i-rubbing yan matanggal man ang scratches pero faded na yung kintab ng panel mo...

panel repaint -buong panel po... pero if minor lang yung dent and scratches and minamadali mo much better patouch up nyo nalang po... mas makakamura pa kayo... if whole panel repaint i think free na sa ibang shop yung dent...

safe ba kapag panel repaint? sabi kasi nila mahirap daw talaga makuha ang kulay at shine ng factory paint.
also, kapag nagpareplace ka ba ng panel sa casa totoo ba na kailangan pa rin nila pinturahan yung panel (kasi naka primer lang?), so in a way parang ni "repaint" pa rin nila ang buong panel kahit bago.
