rust treatment?

I will be having undercoat done on my car, and naisip ko lang meorn bang nabibiling any rust treatment in case meron makitang rust sa ilalim???

I just wanted to be sure na bumili na before pumunta sa gas station at baka wala sila panglagay....

Meron sir shadow, i forgot the brand (parang turco ata), nabibili sa ace hardware or handyman. application is thru a painter's brush lang. Mga P250 for a bottle. My father in law bought one last week.

tama, turco rust converter. i-convert nya yung rust to iron sulfide (black color). chip out the excess rust. then just apply turco, let it soak for a few minutes until the metal turns black. tapos wipe off excess turco (but don't remove the black iron sulfide) then pwede mo na pintahan ulit.

turco, yan ang gamit namin sa mga rehas / dog cage before pintahan...lason yan sa rust reproduction. dami sa suking hardware

problema baka di kumapit ang rustproof pag na turco, need pa patuyuin mabuti baka mainip ang maglalagay....

need mo tiktikin pero di na kelangan isisin. gets? so chipping hammer or cold chisel para matanggal yung makapal na kalawang, pero di mo na kelangan ng wire brush or liha. basta ang must lang e lahat ng kalawang e malagyan ng turco. so pag merong layer ng rust dapat tantyahin mo kung mag-penetrate yung turco. pag sa tingin mo hindi, tiktik kalaws ka muna.

I went to Handyman this afternoon looking for super glue...I saw the Turco Rust Converter bottles right below the adhesives shelves. Malapit nga sa paints and thinners section. HTHs. They sell for about PhP200 I think.

Meron nyan sa mga Paint Supply Store sa mga tabi-tabing kalsada.

I bought one small can for 20 Petot lang, kasi tingi lang ang binili ko from their 5 gallon container. For sure merong mga tingi-tingi sa ibang Paint Supply Store.

actually hindi sya iron sulfide but ferric phosphate....the reaction is:
2H3PO4 + Fe2O3 --> 2FePO4 + 3H2O...

Parang mali ang pag apply nyo ng turco, ang alam ko jan pag nilagyan nyo ng turco after 24 hours kailangan nyo pa kiskisin yung tumuklap na kalawang kase pag pinatuyo nyo lang turco tapos apply agad ng paint kasama yung paint nyo tutuklap

whypo? has it started rusting? heh heh.
my 2005 has not a spot of rust in it, yet. i don't take care of it in any special manner, except the roofed garage.

let us be reminded, that the car has factory rustproofing. and no ex-factory rustproofing can approach it in its effectiveness.

Mabusisi kase akong tao kahit konteng rust ayaw ko, baka di mo lang napansin sinisilip ko kse may mga nakikita akong may mga dot ng rust lalo na sa mga welding part.

I'm using this Turco rust converter. may mga blister at bubble forming na specially sa hood area since mahirap makahanap ng hood (1978 lancer).

rust converter muna ang treatment ko para di kumalat or scrape to metal sa isang shop na may per panel. (5k estimate ng isang shop).

anyone tried or heard of sir jake who visit sa house niyo to repair/repaint?
