^^^Summertime is the best para magpa undercoat…. Any gas station of your choice will do.

ano ba magandang brand for undercoat ang ma recommend nyo?
On a related note, is it recommended to have rustproofing done on a brand new car? Or is the factory-done rustproofing sufficient?
To answer the thread title, usually the rustproofing place (Tuff Kote Dinol, Ziebart, etc..) don't bother to remove the old coating. Its a very time consuming process and not to mention the manpower, tools, chemicals, etc involved to undertake such a task. Lugi sila pagka ganoon. They even claim that letting it accumulate layer by layer results in even better protection and sound insulation.
I have read publications from the US (both online and printed) that undercoating or rustproofing is unnecessary for modern new vehicles. Nevertheless, I just have it applied once the vehicle comes out of the casa and just leave it at that. No more unnecessary reapplication unless there is significant flaking, wear, etc...Originally Posted by mqavila
If you were to follow the "recommended" schedule of those in this rustproofing business, every quarter "free" underwash and inspection. Every half year, underwash and retouch. Annually, they would respray everything again.Originally Posted by mcbry
