Just claim it under insurance. Much cheaper compared to having to buy a new bumper and having it repainted along with your door.

Much less hassle too. You buy insurance for cases like these, I don't see why you won't use it.

Claim will take about 1-2 weeks to process. You can still use your car during that time. Just bring it to the dealership once the LOA is available. Based on your description, repair and repainting will probably take a week.

    Meron. Pangit gawa.

Ang bumper ay plastic at hindi narerepair. Kung sira yan, sira na yan at pinakamainam na papalitan mo na ng buo. Ang body panel, pag nirerepaint, kailangan buong panel or else halata na hindi pantay pintura. Any decent paint shop will tell you that. Only shady shops will accept touch up repairs for significant paint damage.

It would help a lot if you could post pictures of the damage so people can assess your situation better.

Also, as a moderator, let me warn you to post your replies legibly. Use correct sentence construction, punctuation, and no text speak. Ang hirap basahin ng post mo sa totoo lang.

What is ipa-body repair? Aside sa bumper may iba pa ba damages?

Like what bro Jut suggested, use your insurance.

Comply all the requirements then submit it. Participation lang babayaran mo.

Looking at it mukhang repaint lang yan hindi replacement.

What's the typical turn around time for minor body repairs when done through insurance? I'm thinking of using the insurance right after All Saints/Souls to have the scratches and dents on my passenger side (from front fender to both doors and rear fender) repaired. My worry is if it takes too long we might not have a car during the Christmas season.

And I noticed that come the 4th year of my insurance policy renewal (which is this December), I'll be charged a certain percentage for depreciation on top of the participation fee? Will depreciation apply in case there's nothing to replace?

Haven't tried using insurance for repairs but according to my friend with his car it took around 3 weeks for his car to get repaired (The damage is a dent only on his rear ) i'm not sure though if the process of getting the insurance is already accounted for in that 3 weeks time it may take longer due to that.

We sent one car to casa for repairs, their estimate was for replacement of the windshield, hood, rt fr fender, rt fr headlight assembly, lower rocker mldg refinish above plus front bumper cover and 2 rt side doors. It took 3 months from the time of the estimate to get the car in, then it took them 1 month to do the work. When the car came back, they hadn't replaced the windshield, lower rocker mldg nor repainted the side doors. I had to re-shim the front door and front fender to stop the rubbing and wet sand and buff the paint to get rid of the dust. It would have taken me 1 week to do ALL of the work correctly myself. But the insurance did pay for what they did.
From now on....... I'll do it all myself.

    Nasa 3500 na.

Sa las piņas lagpas moonwalk madami mura na pagawaan at repaint dun. Some can go as low as 1000 per panel. Maayos naman gawa while waiting.

Nakabangga kasi ng 2017 Grandia yung driver ng friend ko. The guy is asking P8k for the bumper. I said that's too much, ang naalala ko sa casa P4k +/- per panel and that was 5 yrs ago. The guy said that's the cheapest daw OUTSIDE casa. So much BS!

He's asking P20k nga kasi nasira daw headlight.

Sino may contact number ng Toyorama? I lost their calling card. Too many Toyorama contacts sa google

edit: found it. Why do they need a chassis number to find out yung headlight for a vehicle?

It's how you search for the specific part for a vehicle. That way you're assured of getting the proper part. The database needs that to get the list of parts unless you have the exact part number.

wow, so much has changed na pala, so for example, I can't just go to the auto supply and say headlight ng 2020 vios? But all headlights of 2020 Vios are the same naman So the shops are just doing that to eliminate errors pero technically pwede naman na walang chassis number?

Last time ko kasi nagpagawa ng car outside the casa was in the late 2000s pa and I never had to provide chassis number when buying parts.

Di naman need buong chassis number. Just the first few digits.

Minsan may slight variation even though same model. Yung 2012 vios same headlights pero some are smoked. Yung, 2020 vios din meron slight variation. Mostly pag brand new part hanap nila chassis number. Pero.pag surplus, basta kasya, ayus na
