What to do for scratched paint for my Black Car?

Kanina lang, when I tried to manuever my car backwards, mabanga ko yung side door ng black car ko sa isang post. Buti na lang scratches lang. What should I do about it para ma tangal yung scratches nya. Will rubbing compound do the trick? what brand? how to do it? etc...please help...

considering na di pa labas ang primer or metal. try mo i polish then follow up with favorite wax. pag di nakuha, 2nd option ka this time rubbing compound then polish then wax but this is not easy to do ha? baka lalo lumala. i suggest kung di kaya ng polish patingnan mo na sa detailing shop for first opinion and suggestion na rin.

FIRST -- check how deep the scratches are.

Feel the scratch with your fingernails. If the scratch catches your fingernails, then malalim na yon. You won't be able to completely remove it without removing too much paint.

If you can't feel the scratch with your fingernail, then superficial scratch lang yon -- you're pretty much in luck.

Try getting Meg's ScratchX (or any other similar scratch remover).

If the scratch is superficial, rub a small amount of the scratch remover onto the scratch until it completely disappears.

IF the scrach is deep (you can feel with fingernail)....rub the scratch remover onto the scratch until it becomes less noticable. Don't try to remove all of it...otherwise, you risk removing too much paint.

NOTE that using a scratch remover involves removing a bit of paint, so be very careful not to overdo it.

wala pong dents? kung malalim na ang scratch most probably may dent na yan. you can use dry ice for dent removal kahit medyo malalim. for scratches try mo scratch removers marami niyan pero pag malalim na medyo retouch na by painting.

Nagkascratch din ung kotse ko yesterday. Not sure pano nangyari pero yesterday ko lang napansin. Mga 4 inches sya, hindi halata on certain angles pero pag naliwanagan sya dun mo mapapansin. Medyo malalim kase dama mo with your fingers. Akala ko talaga repaint na katapat. Tried using Scratch X and ayun tanggal! Hehehe! Nilimit ko nga lang sya talaga dun sa affected area kase I know nakakabawas nga ng paint. Pero I'm impressed with Scratch X. Very effective. Pwede mo din to subukan.

mahirap ba talaga mag maintain ng black car? matagal ko ng gusto but ang dami nag didiscourage sa akin. maganda lang daw kasi sa showroom. paglabas pangit na dahil kitang kita daw ang mga scratches.

san mo nabili yung Scratch X? May tama din oto ko. d naman sya ramdam ng finger.
