Paint Warranty?

I see some shops offering warranties for their paint, which begs the question, what sort of imperfections can you attribute to a bad paint job and what are caused by neglect?

How long should bubbling be considered a result of bad prep and how long until it is a sign of rust and neglect?

Depends bro if you're talking about OEM paint or refinished paint, the fine print for both are a bit shady since paint is technically a wear-and-tear item.

pwede na ba ung 4 months? nag pa repaint kasi ako and 4 months ung binigay sakin. Nagmapa ung paint sa hood after a month. Binalik ko sa shop sabi nila i rerepaint na lang nila pero natatakot ako baka after a few months na naman mag mapa ulit ung paint lalo na pag lapse na ung warranty

Sir my civic is a sep 2006 1.8v habanero red cya, mileage nya is 1780km lng po dahil i am based here in singapore, so di nagagamit, pagumuuwi lang ako, just recently when i got back last dec, ang paint ko may crack na parang ung topcoat nagcrack so i had it bring back to honda qa but wala din nangyari sinabi lang sa akin dahil daw naarawan? take note i got an innova parked inside the garage together wth a revo both car paint looked good no cracks, no warranty claims nothing happened. Pero tong honda ko.. tsktsk just had it repainted outside via insurance na lang. eh wala din eh makikipagaway ako sa honda ang sagot sa akin neglect ko daw, imagine lang ha nakakumot pa ung auto under roof pa,, imposibleng bird poops hehe wala lang just a cent lng since nakita ko lng din ung lemon honda..

good question theveed, i mean refinished paints na. I assume kasi the oem paint is part of the warranty but like you say and as has been demonstrated by fedex and the lemon civic threads, sobrang gray area ang paint.

so whats a reasonable time to say na kasalanan ng pintor? a year? six months?

pwede cgurong picturan mo araw araw na naka covered parking yung kotse para may proof na hinde neglect hehe total magkano lang dvd-r hehehe
