What types of scratches is this product able to remove? I tried using it to remove a scratch (not that deep, not "to the metal" type) in my City but was unsuccessful in doing so. What is the right technique to be able to get the desired result?

    Help please

you know those light scratches caused by the nails hitting the back part of the door handle? a majority of those light ones can be removed with this, basically all this product can remove would be those scratches where if you glide your finger nails across the surface and you don't feel a thing, if you could feel the scratch with your finger nails even if it didn't strike through to the metal thats already too deep for this product

Hi madkatz, what do you suggest for scratches that can be felt with your nails? Even if it's just a light feeling, it can't be removed by the scratch remover?

*rj_tim: you might be able to remove them with repeated passes and more pressure probably around 2 to 3 passes?, just be sure to use a high quality MF cloth for working the product, but to be honest once its felt with the finger nails thats pretty much too deep already, what we usually do is just use scratch removers for spot treatment to simply visually reduce the eyesore, even if we go as far as 3 step detailing we usually don't recommend removing that much paint, but what both scratch removers and 3 step paint detailing would do is make it a lot less noticeable.

*ferdc26: yes this can be used to remove those stains, just be sure to work it with light pressure gradually increasing pressure until the stains are gone, and since you are removing a small layer of clear coat in this process it would be suggested that you put on a new layer of wax after, and pls use high quality MF cloth for removing and applying this product to make sure you end up with a high gloss.

Is this product abrasive? Similar to a rubbing compound?

Its sort of somewhere in between a rubbing compound and a polish

So it will take away a portion of the clearcoat? In short, matapang sya?

Are Mother's Scratch Remover and Meguiar's Swirl X similar in use/purpose?
