OMG,

if you have the budget to buy brand new shocks and springs, syempre mas maganda.
if you don't have or would like to save the money, cruven/zee can have it repaired/reconditioned.
what they do for shocks is they fill it up with nitrogen so you can adjust the stiffness of your shocks. good if you are in lowering springs. they also repair the bushings and inject it with poly-ekek.
they also do lowerings wherein binababa yung baso (shock mounts). near stock ang ride. i have not tried it though dahil minsan full load ang oto, natatakot ako na baha biglang bumigay habang puno. but there are guys in mymitsuph who have done that with satisfactory results.
my experience with converted shocks? excellent. i am on my third year now. pag gusto ko ng soft ride, bawag nitro (since stock height ngayon yung oto ko). pero nung naka lowered, pinadadagdagan ko lang ng pressure.
i had also my bushings repaired via that substance injection. almost two years na.
the cost is around 50% lower compared to buying new parts. may warranty pa sila ng one year. afaik, pag brand new parts, medyo mas mababa ang warranty period or nothing at all.
btw, the shock's brand is KYB. costs around 1800-2200 per piece sa rear. around 1400-1600 sa rear.Last edited by 1D4LV; February 22nd, 2008 at 06:23 PM.

*1D4LV,
so parang satisfied ka sa work nila?
yep, im on a tight tight budget, kc magpapalit pa ako ng Mags and ganito rin ung issue
Pero all-in-all quality work and no hesitations ka ba nung pinagawa mo ung suspension mo? ung lahat pinakonvert mo?

10k? di aabot. it normally costs more than 25k.
kung 10k lang din ang budget mo for new shocks and new lowering springs, di rin aabot. a shock normally costs around 2,000 each for the fronts and around 1,500 sa rear. so dun pa lang 7,000.00 ka na.
ang lowering springs kung brand new, H&R costs around 14,000.00. so all in all, 21,000.00 kailangan mo.
which brings me back to the Cruven/Zee method.
sa shock repair, its around 800 pesos each = 2,400.00
sa tie-rods and bushings repair = 3,000.00
labor for lowering the shock mounts 3,000.00
pasok yung 10k budget mo....
