Hindi mas nakakaworry kung walang coating tapos pinapacarwash sa labas? Balak ko din kasi ipacoat yung car ko kapag nakuha ko na sa casa.

I use sealant and paste wax sa car. After car wash, I apply QD or spray wax.

If magkaroon ng swirls, I can use polish to fix them. Then re-apply wax. Hence, I am not worried.

If may swirls or scratches sa coating, I cannot repair it as easily. Bayad na naman for repair and recoating.

bro sometimes the owners themselves cause the issue. the hard coat will get damaged if not washed properly. baka the owner gets a wash from another shop where they use bad equipment like slightly abrasive wash mitts or worse not so clean drying chamois... nightmare

Makes me think now to get my own set of drying chamois para pagamit everytime i go to carwash. I have my own wash mitt, shampoo, applicator pads, mf towels na... pero yung drying chamois wala pa eh.

i agree. yung wash by using water alone at saka yung rinseless wash are not properly done kaya swirls at gasgas ang resulta. you can do wash by water lang o kaya using rinseless wash pero you have to be ready with things like plenty of mf towels.

kung wash by water lang, hose down with water muna yung car to get rid as much of the dirts/grime na nakadikit. you can't simply go ahead with a spray bottle/tabo/bucket ng water and wipe the dirt away. after hosing it down, you need the same 2 buckets of water kasi thats where you rinse your mf towel. as much as possible, isang direction lang ang punas while you need na tupiin yung mf towel sa malinis na side from time to time then banlaw sa bucket. kapag inulit ulit mo ipunas yung side ng mf towel na madumi, gasgas pa more na yan!

sa rinseless wash naman, eto hindi ako kumbinsido. yes, pwede makalinis pero para maging effective dapat marami ka mf towels. if 1 or 2 mf towels lang pinupunas over the rinseless process gasgas pa more pa rin! i watched some video in you tube where 2 punas lang ginamit. nalinis nga rin naman sa huli pero try mo ilawan o tingnan sa sikat ng araw sa mga mall parkings marami eto and marami din nagpapagawa

I also ask them to loosen the dirt prior to carwash by really saturating with water yung mga muddy parts first before even starting with the wash itself. hope that's enough to lessen scratches. Wala kasing carwash that would be patient and nice enough to do a 2-bucket method eh.

Gusto ko try ang glass or ceramic coating pero yan ang worry ko. Since pinapa-car wash ang sasakyan sa labas, baka hindi ma-maintain ng maayos ang coating. Nasa province pa naman kami.

Same scenario with me bro... sa labas ko lang pa carwash then i just religiously apply sealant/wax once a month... tapos on the washes in between i apply spray wax or QD na lang.

Do you use clay bar too after a few wax cycles?

I use clay pad and clay sponge. Washable and reusable. I stopped using traditional clay bars few years ago.

So in short, kung laging pinapa carwash ang car mas pangit na may coating siya dahil hindi mo maiiwasan ang swirl marks? I didn't know that. Kala ko mapapadali buhay ng lahat (me and car wash shops) kung may coating.

Yup, yan ang naiisip kong magiging problema unless mali ako. I have not tried any coating yet.

either way magkaka-swirls at scratches, you can't avoid it. you can only minimize it by proper washing and maintenance. mapapadali in a sense na no need for you to do frequent wash, re-apply wax and do periodic paint correction. with coating, wash with water na lang na if done properly, you can maintain the glass like/mirror finish shine for a long time...

the carwash shop you choose should know how to treat a coated paint. find a reputable shop that can do that and you are good to go...

both are in the top3 together with ceramic pro. looks wise both are the best. hardness&durability hindi pa gaano established..

what matters most is the installer... and the maintenance washes.
