Normally kasama na yan sa price ng preparation prior to coating as our experience sa Ertiga FB.

Kung masyadong marami nang gasgas at medyo di na bago ay maaring separate charges, nasa pag-uusap naman yan.

Asked a few shops about ceramic / glass coating ... and most of them have separate quotes for detailing / paint correction before they apply the coating ...
I had GTechniq CSL + Exo V3 done on a 5-day old Civic. The detailers said there were very few paint imperfections as one might expect with a new car but still they spent over 2 hours cleaning and polishing the paint. For me, that's a sign of how thorough the guys were (* Optimum Impression).
The original price quote was inclusive of the paint correction plus cleaning and application of appropriate GTechniq products on the wheels and all the windows.
Not sure if there will be additional charges if the client's car is older and requires significantly more time for paint correction.
What if newly detailed lang yung car, then you decide to glass-coat it.. Then the shop recommends for paint correction first, hindi ba baka naman lalong mag thin yung paint pag detail ng detail?

Thanks for the replies.
Anyone with a glasscoat doesn't use car shampoo on carwash? Iba iba kasi shampoo eh usually kahit meguiars detailing pero shampoo ng iba generic lang

Hi Guys. Anung feedback niyo sa Rebirth Coating sa Las Piņas? Nasa 20k likes nila sa facebook eh, probably the most sa mga nasearch kong autodetailing. Does this translate to a good product? I plan to have my car coated on Saturday kasi so I need feedback. Sa optimum impressions kasi booked na on saturday eh palagay ko pag tumagal pa lalo pagpacoat ko baka mas dumami pa imperfection sa pintura.
Still haven't committed to glass coating my car yet. So far, Ive narrowed down to Brila and GTechniq. My only problem now, is these coatings are scratch resistant but not scratch proof. In the event of swirls, I was wondering what the remedy to it will be.
I drive a black Hilux, and the advice from Big Bert's was to get paint protection instead, since swirls tend to show up easily on black cars, and if glass coated are not as easy to repair at home.
Anymore feedbacks for Brila and Gtechniq from actual users?
both are ok. it depends more heavily on the installer. i would prefer installers with infrared heaters

Big Bert's isn't kidding. Black cars are most rewarding to detail but they highlight swirls the most.
Think of a glass/ceramic coat as an additional clearcoat, a sacrificial layer. Over time it will scratch and accumulate swirls like a clearcoat. But not as readily. GTechniq has a Pencil Hardness of 9H while clear coats of most Japanese cars are at 7H only. The GTechniq installer has a convincing demo on this.
The extra hardness of the ceramic coat gives it more scratch and swirl resistance but also makes swirls less easy to remove, as Big Bert's says.
Parang sobrang bilis naman kung 4hrs lang sir.
Actually I was considering Optimum Impressions as well pero they told me that they will do my Starex in 1 day while the other glass coating shops (7 other shops like CeramicPro, Buff N Grime, CSII, Gtechniq Phil, etc) na tinanong ko said na 2 to 3 days ang Starex.
Medyo na turn off ako because of this kasi feeling ko mamadaliin lang nila yung Starex. I even asked Gtechniq Philippines and sabi nya na no way daw kayang tapusin ang Starex in 1 day. Ang minimum is 2 days because its a very big vehicle. (and yung 2 days na yun, 4 workers minimum pa)
Kainis talaga, actually I was sold already to have my vehicle done sa Optimum Impression until I heard na 1 day lang nila gagawin. (tapos nag confirm pa yung Gtechniq Philippines mismo na dapat ang minimum eh 2 days).
SIGH. I don't know tuloy kung tutuloy ko pa sa Optimum Impressions or hindi na..... Yung pics ng mga ginawa kasi nila sa facebook looks really good.
Maybe you can ask Optimum Impressions why 1 day lang compared to what GTechniq is saying. Curious din ako sa sagot.
But based on my limited detailing experience (I had all sorts of polishes and foam pads and used a Dewalt random orbit polisher on my cars), they were very thorough. Yun lang infra red curing seemed hurried and an afterthought.
