How to prevent swirl marks/scratches while cleaning car?

I was surprised to see in my black car na after washing it with soap and sponge and then drying it with chamois, swirl marks and scratches appear on the right rear door area.

How to prevent/minimize these swirl marks and scratches from appearing again?

If may previous thread na please provide the link since used the search function walang prevention only on how to remove.

Clean from the top going down. Use microfibre wash mitts and a proper car shampoo that foams.Foaming will cause dirt to be suspended from the surface of the paint and can easily be wiped away using the wash mitt with minimum pressure.

Use different wash mitts (ideally) for the upper part of the car and the area below the "belt line". The reason is, there are higher concentrations of abrasive dirt (ie. sand) present on the lower portion of the car than there is on the hood or roof. You wouldn't want dirt from the lower half of the car find it's way on to the roof or upper fender.

Use quality chamois or microfibre for drying. When drying the car, don't rub the chamois/microfibre on the panels. Just lay it flat on the surface and pull along the edges. Don't apply pressure since these materials are highly absorbent and all that's needed is for it to be in contact with the surface. Again, use different micofibre for the lower part of the car.

Kailangan din ba na different chamois gamitin sa top and bottom area?

Steps I do in washing car
1. Wash with water first
2. Then add car shampoo on pail of water then distribute it from top to bottom
3. Car shampoo again on another set of water in pail and then use wash sponge to wipe car
4. Then wash with water to remove shampoo
5. Dry off with Chamois

Any other suggestions in steps in washing car?

For #3, as I've mentioned, use microfibre or chenille wash mitt (see pic) instead of a sponge. Sponges have this tendency to catch dirt and as you wipe the car, can scratch the paint job.

For #5, I use different drying cloths for the upper and lower part of the car to again, minimize dirt transfer to the upper part. Even after cleaning and rinsing, it's highly possible that there's still dirt near the tires and running boards that could get caught up in the cloth.

Equally important with the technique is the use of correct products, tools, or equipment with regard to washing, drying, and quick detailing. Some things that come to mind:

1) quality car wash/shampoo
2) two (2) wash buckets
3) grit guards
4) at least 2 sheepskin/lambswool/microfiber mitts
5) a number of microfiber towels
6) quick detailer

Alam naman natin na dito sa Pinas.
Labas mo lang may mud na agad sa paglabas mo sa kanto.
Then ulan ng konti then araw ng matindi.
ayyy rainy season

2 buckets, one for rinsing the mitt and the other one yung may shampoo. una don sa may car shampoo then pagkatapos gamitin sa car, rinse it don sa isang bucket para mawala yung mga dirt sa mitt.

In the drying step, it provides some sort of lubrication to your microfiber towels while you wipe/pat-dry the car.

Yup. No choice but to accept all these things, especially if you use your daily driver.
