Collinite 476s - hands down, one of the most durable waxes available locally. Can last up to three weeks on its own, even with the harshest Philippine weather. Lasts longer if used with booster or spray waxes (my current 476s layer is around 2 months old... kept alive by nanosliq. lost count on how many washes it lasted... parang 15+ na).
it's easy to tell if the 476 is alive because it beads water very strongly. sheeting effect is okay, but not as good as OCW.
in terms of shine, when newly applied, it gives a good shine. Subsequent washes will leave it slightly dull, necessitating the need for a booster like nanosliq or mothers spray FX wax.
476s is somewhat hard to apply and can be a pain to remove if left to harden excessively.
Nanoglos - this is more or less equivalent to liquid step2+step3, due to its swirl-filling action. Coupled with nanosliq, this combo really hides most fine scratches, as well as giving the car a deeper, darker color.
In terms of durability, nanoglos can survive a couple of rains, but is usually removed after a single wash. Not a big issue since liquid step3+step 2 is also usually removed by a single wash
Nanoglos can be applied under direct sunlight and is relatively easy to buff off. Bang for buck compared to mothers step2+step 3, since the mothers combo takes 2x as long, and costs 4x as much.
it's unique, since it can be used in place of a glaze - another wax can be layered on top of it, since nanoglos doesn't contain any oils.
A good wax for beginners, as it couples a great shine with ease of application and affordability.
Nanosliq - although officially labelled as a quick detailer, this is actually more of a spray-on wax, since it beads. It fills in fine swirl marks, and is relatively cheaper than equivalent Mothers and Megs products.
Gives a deep, dark shine and a wet look, and the paint feels very, very slick after application.
The downside is it's prone to streaking, and it needs to be buffed after application.
Mothers FX spray wax - aesthetically a bit inferior to nanosliq, since it doesn't fill swirls, but it still gives a good shine. The upside is it's easier to buff off compared to nanosliq.
Optimum Car Wax - Hands down, the easiest wax to apply. Spray on, with no need for buffing. Gives a shine comparable to a car with Optimum Gloss Enhancer (for even better results, use OGE over OCW), and lasts longer than over the counter paste waxes, such as paste step 3. More sheeting action than beading.
the only downside is it's expensive.
Mothers Step 3 (liquid) - my bottle of this is rotting away. This gives a good shine, but is unable to fill swirls. Lasts up to a single wash. Superfluous in the face of better waxes - you're better off with either nanoglos (which costs less and is better aesthetically) or collinite 476 (great durability, costs the same).
it needs step 2 to be as good as nanoglos...
the paste version of step 3 supposedly lasts longer, but is rather pricey *1150 pesos. you're better off with collinite 476 or 915, which will be far more durable than step 3.
