how to deal with cats?

ok so this is the 4th time i had scratches on my hood because of cats. buti na lang di ganon kalalim karamihan, pero yung iba palagay ko kelangan repaint na pero konti lang naman yung malalim. pikon na ko kakalinis ko lang kagabi ng kotse ko tapos kaninang umaga panay foot marks, balahibo at scratches ng pusa sa hood.:fire: i live in a condo and park on the basement, minsan gusto ko talaga abang yung mga pusa don at yari sila pag naabutan ko. but since di naman ako pwede naka tambay lang sa basement ano ba pwede ko gawin para di na nila lapitan ang kotse ko?

I have that problem as well. Pero hindi naman naiiscratch yung paint, just paw marks. How about one of them car covers?

cats do this to get warmth from the engine. if you trust your parking area, the easiest solution is to pop the hood and let it stand for the rest of the night everytime you go home. kung hindi naman matrust yung parking, car cover is the only solution for it. ginawa dati ng tropa ko, tinahian ng makapal na cloth yung nagcocover sa hood para kahit matulog dun pusa o maglakad, hindi magscratch.

i have a car cover already but every once in a while lalo na pag gabi na umuwi tinatamad na ko ilagay. kaso kahit may car cover inaakyatan parin ng pusa.

Puro kalmot ang oto ko. Di ko naman magalaw ang mga pusa kasi alaga ng katabing bahay. Iwas gulo nalang.

i tried all humane ways para mag alisan pusa sa garahe namin.none worked.got tired. linason ko nalang ubos.problem solved.sorry sa mga animal lovers pero no choice e

kakainis nga talaga ng pusa.
sa amin dun mismo natutulog sa taas ng engine ng kotse.
pagbukas ng hood puno ng balahibo ng pusa.

In a previous post in another thread i also expressed my helplessness in dealing with the neighbors' cats sleeping on my cars roofs. Useless din yung aso ko, pinapauna pa nya pakainin yung mga pusa bago siya kakain. Last straw was, for the nth time, nag-vomit na naman yung cat sa roof ng starex. So now i park both cars outside, no longer in the garage that is covered. They can't sleep on the roof anymore, umuulan e.

I read somewhere that antifreeze coolant like ethylene glycol is effective on cats. They find the taste irresistible, they'll even drink the stuff. And it is sure to kill them. Manahimik mga animals lovers dyan ha, kung mahal nyo sila di sana ilagay nyo sa cage para hindi nakakaperwisyo sa ibang tao.

they do this to get rid of bad food they ate earlier..

Nangyari sa akin dati yun pusa pumapasok sa mismong engine bay. Minsan may dalang putol putol na bahagi na manok. Ilang beses ako nag pa engine wash. Minsan din nagsuka sa may alternator. di ko alam na nagsuka at nagswitch ako ng aircon. 4 days bago nawala amoy kahit after engine wash. Dun ko na lang nilagyan ng aluminom na screen na gamit sa aluminum doors. Pero sa hood naman sila ngayon o kaya bubong.

nag post ako dito dati kung paano solusyonan to. naging problem ko rin pusa sa condo parking na natutulog sa hood. eto ang effective and humane way ko para lumipat na sila sa ibang kotse:

1. spray ng orange scented na floor cleaner around the car. ginagawa ko pa rin to hanggang ngayon.
2. 3 straight days nilagyan ko rin ng cayenne pepper sa paligid ng kotse.

ethylene glycol is the colored stuff we use in our radiators..
