I have a automotive rotary buffer here. Not sure about the specs, though. I want to try to use it to buff cars.
What bonnet should I use? What products should I use? Madaming fine scratces yung paint. I'm not counting on eliminating all the scratches. Kahit ma-minimize lang.
Tapos hand wax afterwards siguro.
Suggestions welcome. Sobrang wala akong alam sa ganito.

May sizes ang bonnets.... kahit anong bonnet ok pero yung iba kasi madaling mapudpod. 3M yata OK. Meron na bang wireless na rotary buffer. Kainis kasi yung wired e.... minsan kapos.....

woah.. congrats on your new toy. variable speed ba?
anyway, you getter get some good foam pads for that. meron 3M and Megs locally. get the polishing pads of course and work your way up from there.
as for the products, try to get some polishes first such as Mom's Power Polish or Megs DACP, Speed Glaze or even Color X.
madami pa pero sige I'll try to post more regarding rotary usage. hopefully, others will chime as well.

kakabili ko lang din 2 weeks ago. ano ba dapat pag waxing na, small area at a time? applied wax to the whole car kasi then ang hirap i-buff afterwards. dapat ba buff agad pag nag-glaze na yung wax para di gaano matigas? i ended up pre-polishing with a micro-fiber mit to remove the hardened wax before i could use the buffer. ok naman results pero tips naman dyan please.

A rotary is very much different from a ROP. direct drive mechanism ang rotary so better keep it moving sa surface to avoid those nasty buffer burns / swirls.
try working on one section at a time muna. so polish on a 2x2' section first before moving to the next area. remember: polishing is different from waxing.
