hi guys just wanted to ask the best lowering springs for my city vtec. Ive been looking around and I saw h n r springs worth 12.5k. Theres also merwede springs around 9,800. What would be the best for comfort and style? ?Im purchasing rims as well but opted for 16" rims with 45 series tires. Nde ko talaga kaya mag 17's sa tagtag. I saw yokohama tired worth 2.7k ok na ba yun? hope u guys can help me out. Thanks

if you really want comfort, use 50 or 55 series tires. 45 series tires are very stiff. Using 55/55 series tires would limit your mags size to about 15 or 16 inches.

odell.... iba naman kasi ang suspension ng alfa romeo! :D

pinaka ok ang 16"... though your acceleration will definitely take a hit.

Thanks guys for all the help really appreciate it. Still contemplating on the rims. Pero talagang 16 na lang ako and probably opt for 45 or 50 series depende sa tayo. Ill decide when its there already.

*odel Im looking for 2nd hand springs pero 1.5 inch lang ang drop na gusto ko. Pag 2.5 medyo Im going to be a slave to my car na hehehe. ang layo kasi ng biyahe ko everyday from alabang to QC. have to think of comfort as well. So konti lang pala difference ng 40 sa 45 series as far as comfort is concerned.

Guys what about filters???? James from C magazine told me filters daw malaking improvement sa power and headers. The thing is mawawala na lahat ng warranty ng car ko hu hu hu hu hu. So suspension muna cguro like springs and rims then the filters.

BTW the rims that im going to put are the gun metal Vectra 16" rims from Rota. Its their latest. I wanted imported ones kaso maiiyak ako pag na bengkong. My friends been using Rota and ang tibay daw talaga at never sya nagkaron ng bengkong. So sa safe side muna ko coz of my daily route...daming lubak sa qc/cubao

Thanks again guys for all the help!!! mabuhay kayong lahat!!!

Hi I bought the HnR springs arleady and had it installed. May camber and toe in when I had it installed kaya mahal na sya inabot. Here's my take..... of course mas maganda na ang stance ng car. The springs are ok but with uneven roads bumpy pa rin sya. The fear of not seeing humps bothers me coz I feel na pag nde ko nakita yung humps at madaanan ko talaga wasak ang harap ko. Now I can attack corners and very much feel the road although talagang minsan nakaka bad trip coz ang sama ng kalye natin. I havent changed my wheels yet ....and since ive just gotten the springs Ill see if I can last coz as of now gandang ganda ako sa tayo and handling. Im imagining the rims already. Pero kung talagang ma hassle ako coz of my daily drive from alabang to qc. I will go stock again.

*ssaloon bro ur right abt 16's. Perfect for me. I wrote that during the first couple of days when the h n r srpings were installed. hehe nde pa sanay coz its been awhile. last time I had lowering springs was when I was in college hehe. Now enjoy talaga coz I tried 17's the other week grabe nde ko talaga kaya. I dont wanna be a slave to my car and with all the potholes in the metro its insane to have 40 series tires. Was surpirsed coz mas comfy pa yung 16 with 45 series than the stock mags probably because of the width of the tires.

Here is a pic of the car now
Ill change rims soon tempo lang yang DTM rims coz I really have decided on the rims for my car. Konting ipon pa.
