"GENTLE TOUCH... not so gentle after all"
152 12th Avenue Cor. 8th St. Caloocan City

just a heads up lang po to my fellow tsikoteers/hcp forumers/friends/romans/and countrymen

share ko lang po ang naging bad experience ko sa Gentle Touch.. but before that, konting background lang muna po tungkol sa akin at sa almost 1 yr old 2009 Jazz ko..

Being the first brand new car to be owned by our family, I admit that I am very "maselan" with my Jazz.. Ako ang nagcacarwash (using microtex washmitts and 2-bucket system), naglilinis ng interior, glass detailing, asphalt removal, engine cleaning, waxing, etc.. Lahat yan DIY ko.. So most probably, kabisado ko lahat ng gasgas or dents ng car ko.. If I remember it correctly, twice lang ako nakapagpacarwash sa labas, sa GENTLE TOUCH..

One time, nagpacarwash ako sa GENTLE TOUCH.. Pagbalik ko ng bahay, medyo maaraw pa that time, napansin ko na parang may hazy part sa fenders ko.. akala ko water lang na hindi napunasan, kaso ayaw matanggal.. then tried to wax it, nawala.. therefore, scratches sya na nahihide pa ng wax.. napansin ko na sa buong kotse pala yung scratches, scratches na parang fine hairlines.. na at certain angles, lalo na pag gabi at natamaan ng araw, eh sobrang halata.. and I am very sure that I got them right after I got my car washed.. binalik ko sa GENTLE TOUCH para makita ng tao nila yung naging damage, at napansin din naman nya.. kausapin ko na lang daw yung may ari ng shop para makita rin nya in person.. I then called Mr. Dan Sanchez (the owner of the shop) and told him the whole story.. sabi nya na natural lang daw sa kahit mga brand new cars yung may hairlines.. but then, nagset pa rin sya ng appointment para makita nya yung damage.. yun lang, hindi siya sumipot sa shop.. I called him again.. sabi niya, try daw nilang i-Quick Detailer ng Meguiars then NXT tech wax.. kapag hindi raw nakuha, dual action cleaner/polish then compound cleaner.. all for free.. if you were on my part, would you accept his offer? as for me, i won't and so i didn't.. why? eh sa simpleng carwash na nga lang, hindi nila magawa ng maayos, yung mas delicate na process pa kaya such as using a compound? common sense lang...

When I called Mr. Dan Sanchez and told him my proposal, he was irate.. hindi naging maganda ang tono ng boses nya at ayaw nyang makinig sa sinasabi ko.. until that time, ayaw pa rin nyang tanggapin na fault ng staff nya ang nangyari sa kotse ko.. kesyo hindi raw perfect ang environment natin dito sa Pinas, na kahit lumabas ka raw at idrive ang kotse mo eh magkakagasgas ng fine lines yan.. in his many years in the business, wala pa raw nagrereklamo sa kanya ng ganyan.. ilang high-end cars (BMW and the likes) na raw ang nagpapacarwash sa kanya na walang reklamo.. tama po bang reasons yan? and being the professional detailer that he says he is, should he not have suggested to use quick detailer and wax only? Wax or sealers only hides scratches(temporary solutions therefore).. unlike compounds that really removes them.. our conversation didn't go well and ended up with me hanging up the phone since he was too irate and didn't give me the chance to talk..

So ayun, pinagawa ko na lang sa BigBert's yung detailing.. though I was very disappointed with the way Mr. Dan Sanchez handled my proposal..

Thanks for the info... 10-40petot tapos may washmitt naman plus add mo pa yung bonding mo sa car mo and some extra exercise nakakawala ng pagod pag nakita mo yung car mo na malinis after ilang hours of cleaning your car.

Tiniis mo na lang sanang madumi yung car mo until you get the time to wash it. That's what I do. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY cleans my car but me.

Yon nga lang, I can't avoid that mandatory "courtesy wash" from the casa. Pero sanay na rin ako. I just schedule my 2 or 3-steps depending on the damage (again, DIY) after my car's PMS.

often passby this shop whenever i go to my son's school however honestly speaking,
    i am not a customer.

assuming sir na nandun ka habang winawash car mo you should have notice
their way of washing, materials used, etc. and probably should have raised if it ever
mali agad (e.g. pinunasan agad kotse kahit madumi pa). hope also that you double
check your car before leaving or right away nung nakita mo binalik mo agad.

the offer of the carwash owner seems to be fair eventhough he has no clear
evidence that your dirty car had no scratches before it entered his establishem or his
employees where the one who scratched it. being your (customer) word against
his, he just then do his way to remedy the situation which is to offer as you have mentioned above.

well anyway siguro nga hindi sya ang carwash for OC customers.

    just my 2 cents..
