Frequency/interval ng waxing..

pag kailangan na iwax, then rewax... there's no such thing as a time interval guide coz it all depends on the following factors:

How often you wash
Where you use the car
Where the car is parked
Exposure to Contaminants
Weather
Type of wax/sealant used

Too much factors to consider... It's not correct nor logical to give a timeframe of waxing... or washing for that matter... People who works/lives in clean areas and parks indoors most of the time can stretch these intervals much longer than a car in the Metro that parks outdoors, etc etc etc....

does rain remove wax... even if you don't touch the car, air, moisture, heat and humidity will reduce wax somewhat...

on average, with my car (I park indoors 9hrs a day 5 days a week), 15km daily trip or so... with the usual rain, sun, dust, 3x a week wash... a layer of wax lasts no longer than 1.5weeks or 9-11 days... after that, wala na... kung sealant, mga 3 weeks...

again, my conditions lang yun

kimpoy: you're running the risk of your paint from oxidation and clearcoat failure... di lang halata masyado with lighter coloured paint... "kintab" or "shine" is relative, though... kanya kanya nalang sigurong description yun...

i usually wax whenever i feel like it and when i do have time. alam kong too frequent is too much also. so indicator ko yung nasa car manual na "when water stays in big packets on your car, it is time to wax..."

more often than not, at kung may budget, ipapa-wax ko na lang siya sa nearest car wash --- like dito sa amin kay MCM, suki kasi. tsaka, pinalad na maging 1st customer.... :D

I make it a point to shampoo my cars once a week, usually
Sundays. Pag napansin ko na wala na masyadong beading
yung tubig panghugas, that's the time I know kailangan na niya
ng new coat of wax.
Tama si Theveed, sa akin din mga 3 weeks lang tumatagal ang
wax.
So usually every 3 weeks ang wax ko. Once I year, I apply
polish on my cars.

Basta after nyo mag wax wag nyo papa car wash sa tabi tabi kasi tangal yun wax nyo sa sabon nila. I wax whenever i feel the paint and it's no longer moist, pero madalas qd lang kasi tinatamad ako hehe

Happy: Oh dude, you'll be VERRRRRYYYY surprised, compared to before we had Big Bert's, I used to personally wax 2x a WEEK, since BBPD opened, maswerte na once a month...

Just an example, before ortigas opened, nakakawash lang ako once every 3 weeks... my last paint cleaning and waxing was over 2 months ago!!! hehe, di pwede sumingit sa oto ng customer... :P

Buti nung sunday nasingit ko, puti nanaman sya kahit papano... Kahiya-hiya oto ko sa dumi labas, loob, makina... kahit salamin watermarks galore hehe.

i have a white 04 xtrail. sorry bbpd but i go to meguiar's kasi mas malapit sa house ko. i have it washed once a week and waxed once a month. hand wax lang gamit quick detailer. hindi pa na machine buff ever. okay pa naman.

Another question, dapat ba pagkatapos ng wax ay sealant? or ang wax ba ay may sealant or ang sealant ba ay may wax? Im so confused.

Ako kasi I go to Big Berts Ortigas to do regular wash and seal every 2 months. Im wondering kung kailan ulit isisingit ang wax...

no, parehas lang function nila iba lang ang "effect".

Ako walang garahe pero naka car cover pag di ginagamit. 2x a month ang waxing ko. Car wash, hand glaze at car wax ang palaging ginagawa ko. Am using 3m products at satisfied ako. In fact no need to wash my car for one week kung hindi naman umuulan. After 1 week I usually wash it with wash and wax shampoo. Puro feather duster lang at nareretain pa rin naman ang dulas at ang pagiging water repellant niya before next waxing.

Pag tag-ulan, iba ang case. I frequently wash after every rainfall. At wash and wax ang gamit during washes while waiting for the next waxing period which is 2 weeks.

So ibig sabihin, kahit hindi na ako magpa wax basta regular wash and seal everytime needed? What do you mean by magkaiba ang effect?
