December 17th, 2011 04:05 PM #22If you are using a non-abrasive product, then there is no issue with using a wax every day - it won't make any sense, economically, but it won't harm your paint. It is only with abrasive products such as cleaner waxes or some all in ones that you need to consider frequency of application - and even then, the abrasiveness differs from product to product. As mentioned, the main issue is that any contact with your paint runs the risk of creating marring - hence one of the reasons why it is recommended that you only wax on a clean surface - but if you can be perfectly sure your car is clean when you wax, and you're using good quality towels and applicators, then feel free to wax every day.

gentlemen if you're that OC with cleaning your cars, arm yourselves with Optimum No-Rinse (ONR). Just dilute 2 ounces with 4gallons of water then you're good to go. After cleaning each panel just pat it dry with the appropiate micro-fber towel. The product can also be used as a quick-detailer (QD).
Namamasko po sa mga detailing gurus here umi, doc scharn and the others... hehe.

December 18th, 2011 11:04 AM #25Cleaner waxes have, as the name imples, cleaners in them (usually a mix of mechanical, through the use of abrasives, and chemical), versus a pure wax that doesn't have any cleaners. They're very good for clearing up water spots (a long as they haven't etched the paint), removing old polish and wax residue, and clearing up dirt staining the paint.
It's too bad I don't have a picture - my sister drives a white lancer, and she didn't have it washed for three weeks. Now it's been raining pretty hard for the past three weeks, and in that time, all the dirt and the grime on the paint had begun to stain the white paint, adding a somewhat yellow-brownish hue. I took a third of the hood, washed it, then applied Poli-Seal (a cleaner sealant), then wiped off the residue with OCW. She then had the car washed. When I looked at it later during the day, you could clearly see a line where I had used the cleaner sealant, and that area was noticeable whiter than the area that had only been washed.
Now, note that this does have a few implications when it comes to using the products - you cannot put a cleaner wax over another wax or sealant, as the cleaners will strip anything applied under them; also, you cannot layer cleaner waxes on themselves, for the same reason. Still, they're very useful products, with their place in one's detailing kit - in fact, I know always use a non-abrasive cleaner sealant (KAIO) before I lay down a new layer of wax or sealant, to ensure that the paint is clean and free of dirt.

can you please be more specific with the product? yung tatak ng poli-sealant? can it be used as a substitute for nanoglos and nanosliq. Because at the moment im very statisfied with those two products, specially with nanosliq. yung poli-sealant ba can be used everyday? gusto ko sana, yung tipong madumi yung kotse ko, then buhusan ko lang ng tubig, para matanggal yung mga dumi, then apply a solution para maging shiny uli and maging super clean na yung kotse. and araw araw pede kong gamitin.

December 19th, 2011 12:09 AM #27Poli-Seal = Optimum Poli-Seal. No, I would not recommend using it everyday, as Poli-Seal does contain some abrasives. There is really no miracle product that will do what you want (just a shower of water to clean the car), though all waxes and sealants, to a varying degree, will allow for easier cleaning vs. an unprotected car.
The problem you have is that if you want a touch-free product to clean your car, then by necessity, that product will have to be very strong chemically, and will hence also strip your wax/sealant. The closest you'll get would be to apply a semi-permanent coating such as Optimum's Opti-Coat, GTechniq's C1, or CarPro's CQuartz, then use a touch-free foam or a traffic-film remover; but coatings are a lot more difficult to apply and a fair bit more expensive than standard waxes and sealants (if you can even find them - the only two available here that I know of are Opti-Coat and G'Zox), and I don't know of anyplace in the Philippines that offers touch-free washes or sells touch-free chemicals.

Its just a QD, although medyo spray wax feel siya, just spray, spread and wipe it off. Tignan mo lang yung streaks para ma buff off mo.
