mga mam at sirs meron ako nakita na chenile microfiber mop sa SM dept store with telescopic handle same material as microtex wash mitts. Partnered with 2 wash bucket method sana at grit guards.

I've been reading this thread for several weeks now trying to understand and digest every bit of info about detailing. This thread is very informative and a gold mine of information. I have a 3 year old black car and i only use OTC waxes to maintain it.Mukhang kailangan na ng major detail since medyo rough na yung paint especially the hood.

I plan to clay the paint to remove the contaminants. Nakabili rin ako ng collinite 476s. I also have nano glos and sliq. Plan to buy swirlx. pwede ba by hand lang ang swirlx. wala pa kasi ako machine. This is what i plan do this weekend up to monday.

    1. clay
    2 swirlx
    3. nano gloss
    4. collinite 476s
    5. nano sliq

I would like do it right the 1st time.

how about sealant. ano ang recommended combo for 476s ( KSG o Carlack ?). If i use sealant , ano ang mauuna i-apply sa dalawa ( sealant o 476s ).

Tried calling some shops that distributes/sells KSG and Carlack pero wala sila stock. Anybody here selling these items.kahit tingi lang...thanks in advance

this is the only question that I can answer

the rule of thumb is sealants first before applying waxes. applying wax followed by a sealant is not recommended.

Ginnova, swirlx can be used by hand. Carlack68=Klasse; NSC=AIO; LLS=SG

IPA wipedown after swirlx if you want in your 1-5.

Yes any brand of IPA diluted with water will do, DO NOT USE ETHYL ALCOHOL, i've had numerous cases there people ask me why the paint hazes and why the wax they apply hazes after the IPA wipedown, it boils down to the wrong alcohol used, they usually use alcohol with moisturizers so go figure why hehehe

SwirlX could be used by hand, but there have been a lot of different reviews about the results obtained via hand application, machine application however produces uniformed and better results but again it does not mean that the same results cannot be achieved by hand, hand application of swirlX or any SMR's are totally dependent on application method, so if you could dial in on one system or style of hand application that you like you could do that to the rest of the vehicle, and as we've said if its by hand application we usually recommend going from the least to more aggressive method.

Another alternative you could do is use 2x coating of Nano Glos to cover up the swirls before you apply 476, this way you fill in the swirls so its visually removed and the filling Nano Glos has, has a better durability compared to glazes so its stays there longer and can last more washes.

The steps you mentioned is correct

Carlack Long Life Sealant is a good sealant to be combined with 476, however you still get the maximum results of the sealant if you use the Carlack NSC to prep the paint to let it accept Carlack LLS properly, and then layering 476 after 24 hours is a great idea if gives you two of the best and most durable protection available from waxes and sealants

My BF used to sell them in smaller repackaged quantities but i think he already stopped, try calling Big Berts i think they still have Carlack available.
