Additional feedback ko about NanoGLOS.. Hehe, makintab pa rin siya and madulas.. I just applied NanoSLIQ kanina for boosting the wax.. Kanina nung nilabas sa garahe at naarawan, sobrang kintab.. And also lumabas na rin lalo yung orange peel niya. Pareho lang nung sa SF ni sir jmpet..
And inamoy ko yung paint, amoy NanoGLOS pa rin hahaha

Sir maybe you removed it too soon, or it was not applied properly.
Also, what did you use it applying the SwirlX?
The reason why the swirls were reduced after applying wax was because it was concealed, or maybe yeah totally removed because of the very mild polishes of the Step 2.

hi guys and ma'am madkatz! i'm not sure if this is the right thread... would i need to use a different set of polishes/waxes/qd for my truck's black rims?
i have microtex nanoglos, qd, a can of mothers carnauba cleaner wax, and a sachet of 3M wax. can i just use one of these to wax/remove watermarks of the wheels?
here are a couple of photos:
TIA!

May 9th, 2010 07:08 PM #3888*azzkkr2600: i'll have to check my schedule and i have to ask my BF about that, chances are he's the one that you should talk to since he's the one thats basically doing all the training and explaining, we both have different forte's when it comes to detailing but he's quite good at explaining things, im not really the social and talkative type around people, maybe you should text and invite him, there's a big chance he might actually agree
As for the water marks on the wheels, it depends on how deep they are, normally cleaner waxes should already do the trick, but if its still no cutting it you might want to try some polishes for a more aggressive approach, as for waxes for painted wheels normal waxes would already do, but for non painted wheels i would highly recommend Collinite Metal Wax, its been great for aluminum and clear coated rims and the protection really lasts

May 9th, 2010 07:13 PM #3889*golti: chances are the swirls were just filled by the wax, as for swirlX not working
1. you might not have worked the product with the proper pressure.
2. you might not have worked the product with the proper duration.
3. you might have applied too little
4. you might have used a very soft applicator pad
SwirlX is great for minor oxidation and very light swirls, if the swirls you are tackling is already quite deep then you might just actually already need a stronger polish to do the job, if you look at chickselog's picture on Nano Glos' filling capabilities the swirls that are left are more like moderate swirls which can no longer be tackled by swirlX easily, tackling these kinds of swirls might require added pressure, and longer work time and probably even a second application
