Dropped by blade today, unfortunately wala silang stock ng Microtex Elite. Luckily I passed by Ace Hardware and found plenty of stocks worth php899/piece. Hope this works well for me![]()

For most detailers here yes they use kerosene, i only know one detailer that really uses body solvents instead of kerosene and thats actually our mentor and he's an american, but even we use kerosene because its really cheaper and it does a nice job.
As for how we use it, we don't dilute the kerosene with water, we just wash the whole car and then once done, we just spray kerosene directly onto the paint and let it sit for a good 3 to 5 minutes, spray again and remove it with a dedicated MF cloth or Terry towel.
Its quite safe to use every month although i don't think its neccessary, quarterly however is a good practice, and it is safe as long as you totally remove the kerosene, once we've removed all visible asphalts we wash the whole vehicle again and we use our fingers to test for any kerosene residue by looking for a squeeking sound, we sometimes also use a biodegreaser to help remove the kerosene making the washing process a lot easier. and don't forget to follow it up with a coating of wax
its ok if they spray kerosene on the whole car just as long as they thoroughly wash the whole car and don't leave any residue behind.
as far as i know it won't thin your clear coat, and we've used this for hundreds of car already and its pretty much safe except for one instance when our friend left his car soaked in kerosene and ran out to fetch his kids on sunday school and totally forgot about it, he remembered it when he came back at night thinking why his car was blurry and he washed the car down again to see that the paint sort of blurred a bit, but we just used a cleaner wax machine applied and the blur was gone so its really nothing serious.
its ok if the asphalt affected parts are only the lower part of the car, but there are some instance that it reaches even up to the windows
Hmmm now that you've mentioned that, i might actually let edwin check if ONR cleaning QD is really that strong to strip off 476, in our case we've been using ONR cleaning QD dilution ratio for weeks now and our car is still beading like crazy but then again we multiple layers of sealants that might cause the beading, i'll have him do a check on the test panel we have for ONR removing carnauba waxes
Well if you don't put any load speed it does spin fast and if you don't put any load speed setting 1 to 2 is already ok
The problem we had was when we're applying compounds and polishes to remove moderate to heavy defects, we also had to apply pressure to allow the abrasives to break down and this is where it starts to bog down and stops spinning, even when we up the speed up to 4 the pads still doesn't rotate which sort of reduces the correcting ability of the polisher thats why we opted to have the motor inside change to a lower frequency motor to make it have less rotation per minute at less oscilation per minute but more rotation under load speed, the oscillation part is never a problem with this machine and at top speed this machine goes more than 2x PC 7424's speed its just that the rotation side is weaker so most of the time the product doesn't really get spread thoroughly, since the polisher can't rotate as much under load this inhibits the correcting ability of the polisher thats why i said you could only tackle light scratches, swirls and other defects. And yeah setting 1 to 2 is the safe zone for you, thats like PC 4 to 5 already, my advise would be that you spread the polish over the pad using your finger to spread the polish in case the pad doesn't rotate, another advise would be for you to use SMAT based products like swirlX, scratchX, UC, D151, and others since these product don't need pressure to break the abrasives down because technically they don't break down, this way you could compensate for the lack of rotation of the polisher
you could get the 5.5 to 6.5 inches LC pads, they are very sturdy and last a long time

saw your post sa AGOL about bonding issues ng sealants /waxes over glazes. Do you still have the link? Di ko na mahanap ulit yung link sa AGOL eh and im curious kung ano advise ni Mike Philipps. Thanks!
Luckily the frequency of the ROP that i bought is 50hz. =) yup i noticed that the orabital motion was fast but the rotational motion is quite slow.
yes i will follow your tips the ROP will be more efficient if i spread the polish over the pad so it will create less friction. i bought already the UC and swirlX... here's the pics of my product line up....
sinama ko ang pringles para masarap mag detail....hehe
thanks for the tips can't wait to detail my car....yahooo!!
naghahanap nga ako ng megs wheel brightener....sana makahanap dito...
bakit ganun...
nilagay ko sa profiles ko .
