Sa silky Bronze same shine sila ng 915 but sobrang dali i buff off ng souveran. Hindi sya ganun kalakas mag bead ng water compared sa 915. Sa durability siguro mas matagal ang 915 so ginawa kong LSP is yung 915

*SG, tumbukin mo yung raon(g.puyat). right turn sa ongpin. then look for alonzo street. dami power tools dun. i think its after tomas mapua st....kung may dala ka sasakyan, pwede ka mag-park sa isetann recto para safe...yung nga lang medyo challenging magpark dun.

*madkatz, i-hand application ko po yung 915/476, tapos buff-off with a rotary. i also would be planning to do detailing na rin if i have the rotary. meron kasi ako old skul ford laser. medyo makapal ang clear coat nia kaya pwedeng-pwede guinea pig. anyway, knowing that honda paint needs filling, i might settle for a kp600 and the like. Thanks po.

if i decide to use the black&decker kp600 as the buffing machine only (wax is hand application), do i need to customize it i.e. place new backing plate (what size?) with velcro? how about its pads, do i need lc pads or dupont pads? what sizes and type of pads do i need?

Well for me the only thing that the kp600 can do is spread products like waxes, glazes and polishes but for me the most you could get would be just very light buffing, so yeah my kp600 is my official wax spreader, you really can't get any decent correction out of it and if you use it you might not be able to work your polish completely.

Yes you have to adopt its backing plate, the backing plate it has doesn't come with velcro so you have to attach and super glue velcro strips to it before you can attach pads, as for the pads the best i've used with it are 6.5 LC white and black pads and Megs 6.5 yellow and beige pads which for the megs pads isn't available locally.

As for the interior ceiling, what could be done to clean it myself? Yung "carpet" ceiling kasi nung sasakyan is closely knit (walang himulmul)...tried using a carpet cleaner (yung tipong nagfo-foam then wipe off lang) kaso ang problema is nagkahimulmul na sya. Gusto ko sana malinisan lang sya na hindi maging "hairy" ang appearance nya (yung makinis pa din), meron bang product for this purpose?

BTW yung sasakyan is Nissan XTrail, baka merong may xtrail dito na nakapaglinis na ng kanyang ceiling na hindi naging "hairy" and after effects

Oh for that you need a really good all purpose cleaner, Megs sells some that are great, be sure to vacuum it first and then apply the APC and wipe it on a linear motion always towards one direction with a very soft foam sponge, this would great lessen it being frizzy during the cleaning process and then don't wipe it dry with a rough towel, use a soft cotton or MF towel and again wipe it in a linear motion always towards one direction only

Well the kp600 doesn't vary that much in terms of price compared to the wp1300 and you get real correction from wp1300, so for me it all boils down to the following questions

Can you alot enough time to learn how to use rotary and have the patience of using a rotary?

If yes and then go for the wp1300, if not stick with kp600, then again kp600 is only ideal for spreading liquid products.

What are your goals in buying a polisher?

If its just to save time waxing then its kp600, if its to correct and paint and make it look great then its wp1300

How far are you willing to go after buying a polisher?

kp600 requires less add ons to work well, the wp1300 needs more items like backing plate, pads and polishes and compounds, pad spurs

so basically for those that just want to make their vehicle look nice without improving paint then kp600 is ok, but for those with defects and can't stand not to remove them like me hehehe then i would suggest wp1300, of course the Makita is way way much more expensive but for me my Makita was well worth every buck because i really bust my arms with the wp1300 since its a lot heavier, try polishing for 3 to 4 hours and you would notice the difference

ohh i see for that you would need a Megs beige or LC black pad, just be sure to spritz some QD on the panel when removing it so you don't scratch the paint and always check every after panel if its clean, and don't try to remove caked on wax. Hehe nothings beats old school cars paint!

oh i see, can you try to compare it with your jazz? im in the notion that souveran doesn't vary that much from 915, the only noticeable difference would be that souveran has more reflectivity and 915 has more depth and this is barely noticeable and only on dark cars.

I'd like to up the query earlier... gaano katagal bago patungan ng nanosliq or kahit anong QD yung 476?

I just detailed our mz2... currently waiting at least 4 hours before I put anything else on top of the 476

nope you don't need to wait 4 hours if its nano sliq after 476, the 4 to 8 hours is only for wax coating and QD that has oils
