How do you clean the "libag" around emblems and mouldings? I'm thinking rubbing compund since the dirt is hard and really stuck on, but are there more gentle ways?

*RustyXIII: you could try to look for a detailing pen, in all my searches i haven't found one here but you'll never know, the detailing pen is like a rubber blade that you could use to scrap off the dirts stuck without being too harsh on the paint, another thing you could do it try to use an eraser or something rubber like and soft along with a cleaner wax, and the last is you could use a rubbing compound but this should be done really gently, i've had my fair share of striking through the paint when i was just starting detailing years ago
madkatz, simple question.
Paano mag maintain ng white colored car?
Vanilla White Hyundai Tucson![]()
Nakuha nyo na Tucson nyo sir?
Anyways.. Every week washing is of course a must dahil madungis ang white pag marumi.. Also watch out for asphalt sticking onto the paint dahil sobrang visible siya sa white

*Starex_Gold: yup i agree with Chickselog, you would need a good cleaner wax, so Mothers Cleaner Wax is great, just be sure to get the paste version since it has a longer working time so you could really get those stubborn spots, and longer work time equals to cleaner paint, Another one that i would recommend it Collinite Liquid Sapphire cleaner wax. Both cleaners are really great in cleaning the paint, and they also give a very clear look on the paint. For whites, if its a garage queen you could use cleaner wax every other month, for daily drives you might need to use it monthly.
Aside from that, monthly waxing and proper maintenance would already be ok, Stock up on some fresh MF and QD on your car for those bird droppings.
White and black cars are both very hard to maintain, and as some people say black cars is like a part time job, but fortunately for white car owners, having a white car makes things a little easier for them, yes all stains that you get on a white car can easily be seen as well as the smallest layer of dirt can easily be seen on a white car but the bonus on a white car is that you could barely see the swirl marks unlike black cars out in the sun, for me white cars just need more frequent washings and QD's to maintain their clean appearance.
You could also try an anti-static wax or sealant, Klasse SG has some anti static properties, and FK also has some great LSPs that could greatly reduce the amount of dust clinging to your paint.
nung nakita ko sa personal inayawan ko :hysterical: parang di masyado bagay yung pagka white. kung pearl siguro baka bumagay pa. sayang premium package pa naman
paninindigan ko nalang talaga yung silky bronze na pinili ko.
anyway, thank you brad & madkatz for answering my question![]()
*RustyXIII: Hmmm well as long as you didn't strike through primer its ok but you would need some polishes and finishing polishes, sad thing is that you only need a few drops of it, another thing you would need is a lot of cotton buds if its for mouldings and emblems, and a lot of patience.
*water: its relatively safe for vinegar to get on paint and rubbers and plastics, just as long as you don't let it sit for a long time, i sometimes use vinegar if i run out of rubber gloves for handling stronger acids, and im fine by just keeping a MF on hand and wiping any vinegar that gets on the paint, rubber and plastics. One advise would be to put protectant on the plastics and rubber parts where vinegar could drip, as well as wax on paint, and then when you're done just wipe it off after, also vinegar despite relatively safe for paint will surely strip off any sealant or wax so be sure to put some on the dripped part after.
Thank you ma'am. On the areas where I did use rubbing compund, it seems that they went a little bit dull. Not really obvious when viewed directly but noticeable when seen at an angle. Is this salvagable? And BTW, I'm cheap so I would very much appreciate it if the suggested product is not in the Meguiar's, Mothers category.
Ang vinegar ba safe gamitin sa windshield and bintana ng kotse? Kung matamaan yung plastic para hindi ba mamumuti? Tapos pag sa loob ng windshield sa tint area ok din ba?
