Avoid Armor All at all costs.
I can tell you, for the money you'll spend, Meguiar's Exterior Trim Detailer works wonders on body plastics and rubber compounds. I was so impressed I had to buy two. Almost used up the first one, going to use the second can (aerosol) on the new car to get the old faded trim back to its former glory.
Best part, is if you accidentally spray the other bits you don't want to spray, just wipe it off.
My friend bought THREE cans. This was out of stock the last time I checked my local auto parts store.
Only thing, is you should only spray this in a well ventilated area. It's an aerosol can, the smell/fumes can get a bit overwhelming. Other than that, I'm sold on this product. And no, by the way, you cannot spray this onto a towel and use the towel to apply the product. It has to be sprayed directly onto the car.
Avoid Rain-X or any windshield treatment products. These make your windshield wipers chatter, more so if your windshield is dirty and/or pitted. Nothing beats a truly clean windshield, free of any oils.
For my purposes, I wax my car's windshield on occasion. It does not rain much here in California so there's no need, but when it did, I did not have to use the wipers a lot because the windshield is kept clean. It also helps I have new glass
For rubber protectant, I use Aerospace 303. It has an SPF 40 just like sun tan lotion for your car. Used it on the interior, weatherstripping and a little bit of the engine bay (since it cleans it up nicely too). Which reminds me, I need to get another bottle...
