Anyone here who tried VIP Meguiar's in Fort or Shaw?

Thinking of getting a full detail with them, I'm concerned though that their full detailing service is just 5 hours compared to other places which take 3-5 days (but expensive). Is 5 hours enough to give a car a good full detail? I'm wondering how it compares to others.

5 hours is possible but you also have to consider other variables such as the condition of the paint and the size of the vehicle. For example you'll bring a Honda Jazz with a good paint condition, they could finish it within that 5 hour period. But if you'll bring an Expedition with a bad paint condition, for sure it would take longer time or even 1 day to finish it. Plus they are using machines and that would make the process more efficient, effective and fast as compared to doing it by hand. The very first time I fully detailed my pick up, it took me almost 7 to 8 hrs but everything was done by hand and I am not even a pro. For my Civic, about 6 hrs. How much more if I had a machine with me, for sure it would cut the time by 2 to 3 hrs less. This is just for the paint. But if you would include interior, glass, etc, it can't be done that fast and you really need to either return or leave your car.

Has anyone tried PCI? Pulse Creative Innovations? I've heard good feedback and was impressed with the before and after pics sa website nila. They also do home service kasi kaya i'm looking at having it done with them. Just want to hear your fedbacks firat

last august 2012, yung innova ko nagkaroon ng ange ng spray paint nung pinagawa dati yung maliit na bangga sa likod na pinto, ok naman yung gawa nung body repair shop na pinagdalan ko pero halos nagkaron ng ange yung buong sasakyan at di ko yun napansin agad, sobrang gaspang as in tumutunog yung kamay ko pag hinahaplos ko yung body. yung wiper ko tumutunog din sa gaspang pag nag wa-wipe sa salamin. so sabe ko "pati pala salamin ng kotse ko nadamay sa ange."

naisip ko nun dalin sa big berts ortigas pero di ko na dinala dun kase mahal masyado. mas binabayaran ang pangalan

so naghanap ako ng ok na detailing shop na ok. may mga narinig ako na ok na feedbacks sa Rivers Auto detailing along marikina area kaya tinawagan ko at nagtanong at nagpa schedul na din na madami kame kase sinama ko mga ka innova club ko dun para magpa detail. ang sabe nila 7 step detailing daw, so naisip ko ok kase 7 steps at kaya daw nila yun. naisip ko magiging ok paint ng innova ko dun at babalik sa dating kinis at kaya daw nila yung sa innova ko.

10am last september, 8 na innova kameng dumating dun, sinarado yung shop para samin lang, at nagulat ako kase 900 lang price samen for that 7 step detailing with HIP spealant daw. group daw kase kame nagpunta kaya mura. sabe ko, ok sige. tapos ask ko sa kanila dun anu ba ang 7 steps, alam ko 3 step at 5 step lang pero di naman ako masagot anu anu ba yung steps. so ok sinimulan na mga auto namin. yung saken car wash, tapos asphalt removal. tinanong ko kung anu ba ginagamit, sabe ko "boss gaas ba yan?" sabe dun nung isa "boss di kame gumagamit ng gaas dito." tapos kitang kita at amoy na amoy ko naman na gaas yun, so tumahiik na lang ako.

tapos winax na, buff at etc. nilapitan ko unit ko, sabe ko bat magaspang pa din, ganun pa daw muna talaga sa una. tapos sabe ko ok. kase lam ko sa step 1 dapat tanggal na yung gaspang eh. tapos car wash ulit, tapos winax nanaman, tapos nilapitan ko ulit after i buff sabe ko bat magaspang pa din, tapos sabe di pa daw kase tapos, tapos sane ko ok, i tulo lang nila. nagtataka na ko kase pang ilang step na di pa din natatanggal gaspang eh step 1 lang ok na dapat talaga yun eh. tapos car wash ulit, wax and buff, then same result, magaspang pa din and time check it was 4pm na.

tapos napikon na ako nun sabe ko "boss kala ko ba kaya nyo to?" tapos sagot nila di daw sila nagbabawas ng clear coat etc etc. tapos sabe ko "eh anu babayaran ko sa inyo, sabe nyo kaya nyo pero di naman pala?" tapos sabe "ah sige po boss car wash na lang po i charge namin sa inyo". nung natapos nag spray ng QD. kumintab naman at kuminis yung ibang parts pero di talaga ko satisfied kase gusto ko bumalik dating kinis at kintab ng bronze innova ko, sabe nila kaya daw tapos katapus-tapusan di naman pala, nagsayang ako ng isang buong araw ko dun, pero ok na rin, tambay with innova club na naiingit ako kase yung kanila ok tapos saken hind, ugh, haha.

then nung november dinala ko naman sa Checkered Flag along QC with my friend na member altis club na kasama ko din sa riviers na naka innova na ngayon, eh sponsor ng altis club yung checkered flag kaya dun nya ko sinama at kakilala nya may ari. talagang di daw sya mapapahiya saken na babalik kintab at kinis ng innova ko, so sumama ako. dinayo ko yun all the way kase i'm from rizal. dumating kame nung friend ko dun ng 10am pa din. tapos hinawakan yung sasakyan, magaspang, so kayang kaya daw nila pabalikin sa dati yun, mga 6pm daw matatapos, so sabe ko ok, wait namin nung friend ko, tumambay lang kame dun at pinapanood namin. detailer ng friend ko sa checkered flag nag detail sa innova ko. inavail ko dun is 3 step exterior detailing with glass detailing. 2800 dapat babayaran ko lahat lahat pero kilala din ng friend ko may-ari, so diniscountan ako, 2500 na lang binayaran ko for the service.

after step 1, ayun hinawakan ko talagang kinis na ulit ng innova ko at makintab, sa step 1 pa lang yun. tapos ayun all the way gang natapos ang 3 step detailing, sakto 6pm natapos, sobrang kintab ng sasakyan ko, sobrang kinis, parang pwet ng baby pag hinawakan, tapos pati sa glass detailing, di na tumutunog wiper ko pag nag wiper kase wala ng gaspang. BTW, straight meguiars sila.

sobrang satisfied ako sa trabaho, at sakto sila sa time na pinangako nila. nagpa dikit pa ako ng sticker nila sa front windshield ko. ganda ng sticker nila, libre pa. sa mga nakapunta sa MAS last december sa MOA, i'm sure my mga nakita kayo dun na kotse na Checkered Flag ang nag detail, ganun yung sticker nila, maganda. hehe.

binigyan ko ng 100 na tip yung nag detail kase sobrang ganda ng pagkakagawa sa innova ko, ok na ok talaga. kukunin ko na nga din sanang sponsor namin sa innova club kase magaling talaga.

Checkered Flag for me, 10/10. maganda trabaho, sakto pa sa presyo.

I'd think twice about CF, renz, lalo't black auto mo. They once detailed my friend's SUV without washing it. Sinabi kasi nyang kahuhugas lang nya ng auto nya. But still, that's a stupid excuse, unless his house is just 100 meters away from the detailing shop. SOP na hugas muna bago idetail.

Had our car washed there too matagal na. Isang wash mitt lang gamit nila, pinahid sa wheel well sabay balik sa body. Nako that's my first and last wash from them. From the bottom then up pa sila maghugas e dapat from top to bottom.

sa may banawe sya bro, sa kabilang sila, daanan mo lang yung street nung sa may metrobank tapos madadaanan mo na yung pa kabilang side then u turn ka then turn right, malapit na malapit na dun. :D

saken sir hinugasan muna nila bago na detail, tapos from top to bottom din yung gawa and also 3 yung pamunas nung hinugasan, pang wheels, body at glass. nawala talagamga swirl marks at light scratches sir. baka yung nag service sa inyo nun sir eh bano sa mga ganun sir, baka baguhan?

The days indicated is usually a sign of good care. A lot of detailing products needs a curing time after all Although I've never availed myself of their services, I'm a fan of ZeroStain
