most car covers have felt linings to protect your paint. make sure you buy one that is UV resistant, water resistant, breathable, lockable (as per M54) and custom fitted for your car. mas mahal ng konti, but worth it.

You can ask around if somebody will rent a garage out to you.

Since naaarawan siya and naalikabukan, bought a Alevo car cover sa Concorde sa SM North. Felt and loob, rubbery-cloth ang labas. Water and wind proof, and UV-proof na siya.

same situation here but minus those pussycats...

concern ko is yung hamog. every morning, basang-basa ang kotse! what effect does this have sa paint? OK lang ba na pumasan lang sya ng MF para ma-dry? that's what i do every morning,

Medyo OT ng konti. Just came from Madrid. Karamihan ng kotse dun outside parking. As in ang dudumi hehe. Not to mention na since parallel parking sila, puro gasgas bumpers. As in para makapark sila ng matino e babanggain nila yung katabing kotse. Pero mukang ok lang sa kanila. Lugi car detailing dun hehe.

Just goes to show how we care for our cars so much na kahit masandalan lang e magagalit na tayo.

If there's any accident they just exchange details and their insurance will do the talking.

My car is parked on street as well before.. result? some dent here and there but there's a big one doon sa rear bumper ko (made of fiberglass/plastic I think)... what can I do? no one seen it so I have no one to blame so instead of whinge about it pinababayaan ko na lang... yung kotse ko swerte na ma car wash twice a month. so far ok pa rin naman ang paint (5 years old) except doon sa naiputan ng ibon (2 at the roof)... kinakain talaga niya yung paint kapag natagalan I reckon mayroon siyang mga acid contents.

Now, I moved to a new apartment with big car space (yey) at the back of the building so no worries na ako sa mga unknown gasgas unless na lang yung ibang tenant eh careless pero hindi pa rin siya undercover parking... Now I'm thinking to buy one of those UV/Weather shield cover din kasi atleast kapag nilinis ko eh matatagalan na ulit bago malinis (tamad) hehehe hindi laging inaalikabok at maiiwasan na rin yung morning dew.

One solution is to have your car sealed. Sealant will last you a couple of months, yun lang nga you will have to let it "cure" for 48 hours para tumigas, tama ba gurus?

i'm skeptical about the 'professional' sealant services. my (non-expert) gut tells me that this is not much different from something like a Klasse SG/AIO diy treatment.

tama ka kapatid. so if you're buying a car and the STEALERship i mean dealership is offering you "paint protection" (take note: this is not a warranty) option for $1,000 - $1,500, decline it. all they do is wax the car/suv/truck and give you an extra box of soap, interior cleaner and wax. for $1k-1.5k that is 10 - 15 times the cost of other detailing kit.

mgs sir, pa-explain naman how "sealing" is coonected sa inquiry ko.

"concern ko is yung hamog. every morning, basang-basa ang kotse! what effect does this have sa paint? OK lang ba na pumasan lang sya (without carwashing/shampooing) ng MF para ma-dry? that's what i do every morning,

I was referring to the Klasse sealant, sorry forgot to mention this. Already tried this a couple of times.

Medyo pricey ang Klasse but its worth it.

I recon that the poster wants to avail professional detailing services, so I recommended him/her about having his car sealed.

Ilang beses nang naulanan overnight yung car with the car cover on.

This works for the moment pero maganda pa rin na may garage.

A sealant acts as a protective barrier against the elements. It will last atleast a couple of months, eto linalagay ko pag rainy season or in my case eto ginagamit ko palagi.

Hamog? wala naman negative effect as long as you wash your car regularly.
