    Would it be more advisable to detail the car first before applying a decal? Just a question that popped to mind since applying decals would involve wax stripping.

    If by detail you mean exterior polishing, then it would be easier to do it prior to application of the decals (the detailer won't have to tape over any decals to avoid damaging them). Apply the decals after polishing, but before waxing.
