Rubbing is generally a term used when applying rubbing compound after a surface is sanded (ie post painting). In short, you're taking out surface scratches by removing thin layers of paint. Jologs detailers equate this to detailing which is stupid.

Second question, it takes more skill to successfully compound a surface. Different conditions requires different compound type to be used. Essentially it's sanding in paste form. Not for the newbie to tackle.

    2. sealant - when you should use it? how ?
Sealant are essentially synthetic waxes, use it just like a wax, as often as you want. Just follow product instruction (I wonder why almost no newbie does this hehe).

    3. how often you should wax your car to preserve the exterior better ?
As often as needed. Refer to the FAQ in our bigberts.com site.

    4. what is the 2-step, 3-step, 4-step(?) (exterior) detailing ?
Steps are nothing more than enumerating how many process you're going to use. It means squat, nada, nill. Again, another imbento service term used by detailing shops not understanding what detailing really is.

Hehe tinakpan mo lang kasi... Buy ka ng leather cleaner (yung walang conditioner) and follow instructions.

Actually you can use soap and water muna, rub LIGHTLY with towel.

sir, in relation to said topic. how do you maintain a leather seat? any recommended product out to use para medyo malambot ulit yung leather?
i'm just worried na tumigas ang leather seat ng ride ko, which actually came when it was released from casa. and i've been using johnsons baby mild soap ONLY (yung liquid).

bdw, which of the available wash mitts is better cotton or plush fiber? not sure lang kasi with plush...

    gracias!

Dont use soap like that, taas alkaline levels, dries up leather. Just use what's meant to be used on leather. LEATHER CLEANERS or Saddle Soap... Actually, for routine maintenance, water is fine.

Punta ka BESA or mga ibang reputable shoes/bag repair shops (not Mr. Quickie hehe) meron sila Lexol. Then condition once a month (yung driver's seat lang naman nalalaspag usually, so clean that more often).

Regarding the wash mitt. Depends, medyo generic sobra description mo.
