    Can a compound then polish eliminate clear coat failure?

    No, further thinning of the clear will just make it worse. Only remedy is to repaint.

    David,

    I dunno if it is actually a clear coat failure but that was term Edward used. Para siyang stain na mapa and its getting bigger. Used AIO and DACP pero it didn't work... i was thinking of using diamond cut with woolpad.
