from carlocaraddict: can insecticides damage your car's paint?

can it be corrosive?

my parents arrived last thursday from the province and the crv was so dirty. I didnt have the time to clean it because i arrive home before dinner and of course, am dead tired from work. Just a while ago, after drying the hood, i discovered something which i thought was tree saps. Kinapa ako pero malambot, tapos may sumamang red paint and nakita ko yung parang masilya! though maliit lang pero freaky. Akala ko tree sap pero hindi!

Wala pa yan last week kasi i usually inspect the panels before waxing.

damn! fear ko talaga ito. I asked my parents kung nagspray ng insecticides sa mga puno dun pero sagot nila hindi daw kasi ulan daw dun sa prov.

I admit sobrang freaky ako pagdating sa ganyan kasi sobrang inaalagaan ko yung paint ng cars namin. Am planning to bring it to bb one of these days. Nakakainis kasi sa hood pa, mabuti pa sana kung sa roof yun.

This also happened to the front fender of our EG Civic. I dont know what stuff got dripped onto it, but it has the corrosive effect of acid. I can see the different layers of paint until the grayish layer.
