    thanks in advance!

easy on the rubbing compound, you'll end up doing more harm than good. it's quite tedious, but wax can be removed from plastic surfaces.

use a good car shampoo to strip off excess wax. you may also try an all purpose cleaner to try to remove the wax from plastic trim. some gurus here believe peanut butter can do the job. dude, whatever happens, stay away from rubbing compound! that's one of the last options for you. bro baludoy is right, check out the detailing thread in the more than looks section.

hey, tama clang lahat, kelangan mejo alam mong magrub(pag parang gasgas ang paint mo, rubbing na talaga, pero i've tried ung kerosene(gaas) with water mix, shake mo ang before applying. same as wax kung iaapply, pag mejo dry na, wipe agad lightly ng pranela, ang kintab na nyan, try mo din sa trimmings ung gaas, d naman masyadong harmful sa rubber yan e.

ViePink: Excess wax can be easily removed in most cases especially if it's still relatively fresh. Try using a soft toothbrush and shampoo, lightly scrub the rubber/plastics that the wax has recessed into. If there are stains on body/paintworks, usually a stronger dose of shampoo will work, if not, proceed to petrol-based cleaners (but you'll have to wash and rewax again). Don't worry too much as long as you don't leave it unattended. Moe's advice is valid.

Your choice of wax isn't the culprit, but rather the application. Many people slap on too much wax, lets the wax stay on too long or fail to read the label that causes such problems.

rikibike: Your assumption of too much waxing led to thinning paint is wrong. Read the stickies here.

In addition, basic chemistry, petrol and water don't mix, doesn't matter how much you shake a kerosene and water mixture, the two will not mix and will not dilute.

Lastly, suggesting using a compound to remove wax stain is absolutely unnecessary, please refrain from giving erroneous advices.
