Saw this at Ace Hardware yesterday for only P2550.00

any user comment about this Random orbit waxer/polisher?

AFAIK, single speed lang ito. Di mo rin pwede gamitan ng foam pads na ginagamit ng mga DAP at rotary polishers, unless you modify the backing plate by putting velcro strips. Backing plate is hindi rin pwede palitan. More or wax applicator lang siya. Kung habol mo is to do some paint correction, then bili ka nalang ng DAP like Porter Cable, DAS-5, Flex, Meguiars.

for water spots and removing swirl marks also waxing and buffing are my main purpose, yes, its a single speed * 4400rpm hindi ba masyado mabilis ang 4400rpm? first time ko pa naman gumamit nito plan ko is to plug it in to a 110V transformer for slower speed. bumili na din ako ng Meguiars Ultimate Compound for water spots and swirls marks. pag nasira na lang siguro ung included na applicators I'll try modifying it and putting velcro strips.

Gamit ko nato 4 years na. Twice a year ko lang gamitin.problema sa kasamang foam bonet disposable. Kaya nagpatahi ako ng microfiber bonet at un ang ginagamit ko pang spread ng wax. Ok din pang tanggal ng light swirlmarks pero pag medyo malalim kailangan mo na gamitan ng rubbing o kaya polishing compound. Ginamit ko ing sander sa binili kong cabinet doors. :-)

Yung Black & Decker sa Ace Hardware ay DA polisher din BUT uses low power motor, has low single speed (orbits per minute), and uses bonnets (cannot use foam pads without modifying the backing plate). You can use them for applying and buffing wax BUT not for paint correction (compounding and polishing) due to low power.

To compare:

B&D KP600/KP900/WP900 = 60W motor, 1-speed, 4400 orbits/min
B&D KP1200 = 120W motor, 1-speed, 3200 orbits/min
Meguiar's MT300 Pro Power DA Polisher = 500W motor (High Torque), 6-speed, 3000-7500 orbits/min
Griots Garage 6" DA Polisher = 850W motor, 6-speed, 2500-6800 orbits/min

Its a KP600 not WP900 pla, first time ko ginamit kanina with meguiars ultimate compound then top it with mother's cleaner carnauba wax, medyo matindi waterspots s roof at trunk kya nka 3times na apply ng ultimate compound bago totally nawala ung ibang spots, overall not bad na waxing/buffing tool for me and it made my waxing a lot easier at hindi na sumakit shoulders ko sa pag wax on and wax off. Mahal lang ung 2pcs foam pads and 1pc. buffing wool P300/pack.
