    New tsikot member here

Guys patulong naman. New caar owner ako. Black Lancer. Hirap i-maintain.

2 days ago i was removing a sticker from the side mirror using cotton balls and alcohol.

I saw the bird poop. Probably 30 mins na sya dun. Instinctively i used the cotton with alcohol on the bird poop. tpos nagulat nlng ako when i saw na it created scratches on the paint. kitang kita yung lines. huhuhu...

Can i use scratch remover in this case? what would you guys suggest.. helpp... di ako makatulog.. hehehe

    Thanks.

yes, pwede scratch remover dyan. hinay hinay lang sa pagkutkot. minsan may nakilala akong sa sobrang gigil magtanggal ng scratch, lalong lumala yung scratch nya.... hehehehe.

tapos nun, try to follow it up with wax...

isang question, bakit ka gumamit ng alcohol? a simple water soaked rag will do.

Wow! New car owner, tapos black pa.

You've got your hands really full!

The alcohol would have done the job nicely if you had allowed the liquid to soak on the birdbomb for a minute or so. The scratches were caused when you tried to rub off the birdbomb while it was still dry or partially soaked.

Anyway, based on your description, the scratch remover will do the job nicely. Just don't rub too vigorously.

Lessons learned -- since you've got a black car, you may want to invest in putting together a car kikay kit consisting of a QD spray and a couple of MF towels, plus a CCD. The QD spray and MF towels will take care of the birdbombs and the tree sap. The CCD will take care of the dust that will be coating your car non-stop.
