Nice lens cleaning! Does this happen to most vehicle over time? What causes dirt to get in the sealed headlight assemblies? Also read that BB only cleans the lens and not the assembly, right? If so, why only the lens? What if the assembly is also dirty?

Lens lang po yan, exterior to be precise... As for assembly, you can't really clean it properly without disassembling the housing, which we don't recommend coz 8/10 times, it'll not seal properly afterwards.

Some lights are more prone to dust entering the lens, most probably the design of the housing itself has vent holes or gaps that trap dirt.

As for the windshield question, probably some glass surface reacts differently to others... It's all about surface tension whether a non-porous surface beads or not.

so which should be better, a glass surface that beads or not? some tsikoteers here want their windshields to bead, and windshield/glass products prevent water from beading on the windshields. di ko ma gets

for headlite lens cleaning...in most cases, the reflector has already been subjected to intense heat of the bulb, making the chrome on the plastic reflector brittle, when you wipe the reflector, the chrome comes off... now you buy a new headlite... also wiping the reflector will make swirl marks... making it less reflective

the pics posted by THeveed was more on headlite lens polishing... what happened was...with new cars most headlites are made of polycarbonate material...in time after long exposure to heat the material gets "cooked" resulting in a hazy lens... what i did on the above pics was to remove the burt part then polish the whole lens.
