    alas6,

Kaw ba yung naka DMax na white yesterday morning? If you are, thanks for the info on the rolltop cover for the DMAX. I'll be telling my dad to get one also.

Mga Ortigas peeps, baka gusto ninyo magset ng EB sa BB at nang magkakilakilala tayo?

Sir David, nag engine wash ba kayo ng 1991 Lancer na singkit? How much at gaano kaya katagal ito?Simpleng engine wash lang ayaw ko kasi dalin sa mga carwash na nag sasabing nag eengine wash sila eh. Maraming salamat in advance.
    Please check your PM po.

Sir theveed, just went to your website and now I'm interested in the Optiguard treatment. It's basically all I need to "renew" a 4 year old Altis, yes? Or is it different from paint detailing, interior detailing, and engine detailing? Is engine detailing the same as engine wash? Is the Optiguard better than the Flat rate detail package? Sorry, I'm really confused...
That's different po, as noted sa website, OptiGuard covers the paint issue only but is handled in a periodic manner (every quarter), as opposed to our full package service of detailing the interior, exterior and engine compartment.

It's not a matter of which is better, but which service your car needs. In your case, I'd have to say the full detail package is more appropriate with your needs.

Like what ILD said, though, it's best if we can assess the car up close.

No offense mga repapips, pero ask ko lang sa mga mods(sensya na po kung OT) kung bakit na-close yung Poorboy thread na medyo similar din sa BigBert's threads?

Just went to Big Bert's ortigas to check out the place, the service, and the people. I opted for a carwash as an initial gauge of the service (P80 - includes vacuum and tire black). What's nice about it was, Vincent came over to check if his boys did a good job and pointed out spots where he wasn't very happy with the results. Overall, for P80, it was good service. My only complaint? Sir Vincent wasn't very friendly and accomodating. Maybe he was having a bad day? Maybe he's tired? I don't know. What I know is, it makes it very hard to want to go back. Please don't get me wrong, and flame me for the wrong reasons. But I believe that with quality, customer service goes a long way to keeping people coming back and recommending you to their friends. In their website, it says something like: we love your car, maybe even more than you do. How do you show this "love?" If I were the manager or owner, I would suggest some improvements, offer after-market parts to spruce up your ride, explain the services that we offer to keep your car healthy and clean, in the process increasing sales. In the end, yes, I will go back. I will try the carwash with wax (P350). My gf's altis also needs to be taken care of so I'll bring that in as well... but maybe I'll try Araneta instead, see if they know how to "love" my car more than I do.

manilenio: mukha lang suplado si vince pero mabait yan hehehe, he goes the extra mile to serve his clients. Last time I had my ride detailed he was the one applying AIO using his trusty rotary .

I'm sure mabait si Vincent, kaya lang mukha naman akong timang na trying to strike a conversation tapos he doesn't seem very interested. My gf nga got pissed off and took a walk, kse mukha raw ako kawawa, trying hard pero di pinapansin. I mean, napapahiya ako coz I tout the people I read about in this forum to my girl, tapos laglag lang aabutin ko. Jeff Tan was a bad first experience, I'm hoping Big Bert's isn't. I'll try again, maybe I'll get lucky next time.

Well, I've had some conversation with before Vince regarding cars and detailing stuff ok naman kausap really, very knowledgable. I won't worry about that too much. Eto lang observation ko pag sa shop medyo serious si Vince, he will have a chat with you then go on and work on his client's rides pag may time chat uli, it may rub you the wrong way but it isn't disrespecting you. Just my 2 cents

first impressions last..so i think no explanation will make you change your mind. but i can assure you..you wouldnt find any owner or manager like vince who checks on the works of his men.

try to look sa ibang detailing shop..makikita mo lang ang owners and managers pag tapos na ang gawa for the final check up at pag magbabayad ka na.

vince loves the cars.he didnt say he will love you...ay cheka fafa!joke lang.
my point is...hindi naman niya responsibilty ang makipag chikahan sa lahat ng customers niya.ako man minsan ayoko makipag usap sa customers ko kasi ang daming ginagawa at iniisp sa ganitong business.once in a while lang talaga.my number one priority is the service.

Sir Manilenio, maybe he's just having a bad day or he's preoccupied with something else. Most of the time when I went to Big Bert's I could only talk to him for maybe 2 to 5 min., since he's busy most of the time. Nakakakuwentuhan ko lang siya ng matagal is when there are no more cars to be serviced or when it's near closing time na.

Perhaps I'm just too balat sibuyas I'm sure he's a good guy, and like I said, I'll go back and try the wash and wax. The araneta branch is closer to my gf so that's where I'll bring her car. But the Ortigas branch is closer to me so that's where I'll take my ride. Di bale na di ako kausapin ni Sir Vince, basta maganda gawa sa kotse ko hehe

hmm, ok naman si sir BM. he might give that impression but he's a great guy to chat with. last time I went To BB nakakausap ko lang siya mga 2-5 mins but I noticed that he's a busy man buzzing around the place. he takes this seriously, hands-on talaga kaya understandable.

    baka nagkataon lang.
