    2. frequent washing can inevitable reduce your sealant, but the question would be how many washes? if you wash your car properly and safely your sealant could last you up to 1 year especially if its well maintained and boosted with other protection, conversely poor washing methods can lead to faster deterioration of the sealant.
So ok lang po na magpa-carwash with shampoo weekly after ng 1st Optiguard session? Ok rin ba na tubig lang gamitin then punas agad?

Wax would be the first line of defense your car has against pollutants and contaminants and when you have a sealant you have another tougher and more durable layer once the wax fails.
Gaano po kadalas dapat ang pagpapa-wax? Every week, twice a month, monthly?

Gamit kong car shampoo ay yung Turtle Wax Concentrated Car Wash (kulay blue na liquid sya). Ang description sa kanya ay "concentrated blend of mild detergents and shine polymers formulated with unique water softening agents." Safe po kaya to dun sa sealant na na-apply thru Optiguard? Di nito matatanggal yung sealant?

    1. yes, having your car washed weekly is actually the minimum recommended number of washes per week, but you would have to use a duster to reduce the dusts clinging on to the paint, here in caloocan where its really dirty what i do i have it washed 2 to 3 times a week and then maintained with QD and duster. Using water can also be an option but i would rather advice you to use a mild shampoo that wont strip wax but powerful enough to remove semi bonded contaminants and road films

    2. The advised frequency for well maintained cars is once a month, but since its really dirty in our country you might want to do it twice a month especially if the car is a daily drive. I used to wax my car weekly but now i wax them ever other week.

    3. I've tried that shampoo before and i even have some at home but i really can't remember how it fares with other shampoos, as i remember its a bit strong IMO, the turtle wax Ice shampoo is much better same goes with Megs NXT, but as far as i remember its a good shampoo that won't strip wax, that why i kept it at home.

Since this is a BB thread, you might also want to get their input on this matter hehe, lets wait for vince, jeff, paul or whoever to chime in

This morning, I brought my dirty 4-yr old car to BB Ortigas para magpa-optiguard (sorry about that, bawal kasi magwash ng car where I live, waterless cleaning lang allowed). I met Mang Willy for the first time, and he was nice enough to attend to my car. He recommended doing detailing job muna tapos optiguard. When i returned to BB 10 hours later, I was so pleased. Yung car ko, mas maganda pa now, at mas makintab pa now than 4 yrs ago. Mukhang bago ulit si car, he he. Thank you Mang Willy.

sorry if we don't reply to your questions here often since we are really having problems logging in to tsikot the past couple of months. sometimes it's ok, sometimes after a few minutes we can't seem to connect.

anyway, please feel free to call any of our shops (Araneta & Ortigas) if you have inquiries and we will be more than happy to answer them.

    Tel:
    Araneta: 415-0979; 416-9305
    Ortigas: 914-1075

thanks for dropping by our shops. we are more than happy to serve you. sir scharnhost, unfortunately even a detailing job won't be able to help with stone chips/damages unless they are just light damages. for spider webbing, a simple polish can get rid of that.

for stage3 exterior detailing, we do a light compounding, polishing, applying glaze and polymer sealant to your car's paint finish.

we don't offer underwash service po

engine detailing is different from engine wash. it involves a more tedious process.

thanks so much for helping us answer some questions while we are offline.

there's really no harm in having your car waxed regularly. we have some customers who really take good care of their car by having them waxed weekly aside from following proper maintenance procedures.

They only have 2 branches po. Ortigas and Araneta Ave.

Might be better if they check them first so that they can assess it. Pero IMO, Stage 3 Detailing na kailangan ng truck nyo po sir

    Sir

    Need your opinion.

Just purchased a new montero sport gray mica. Any suggestion on what to do to protect the paint? I think this color is very scratch friendly.

Sir gamit po kayo ng Wash Mitt sa pag-wash ng Montero nyo to avoid scratches. And bago hugasan, i dust-off nyo po muna para walang alikabok na pwede ring maka-cause ng swirls. Then always use a Microfiber towel kapag pupunasan nyo.
