sir theveed, matatapos na po next week ang wash over paint ng kotse ko. nagba-buff po ba kayo ng newly painted car at big berts (wash over using nippon acrylic paint)? balak ko po kasi ipa-buff uli sa inyo para maganda. If yes, how much po. btw, my car is 1995 toyota corolla...

i would suggest you have it buffed by the paint shop since paint defects can come out during the buffing process. That way you can have them do the back job. Having it done outside of the paintshop would give them reason not to honor back jobs.

paint shops usually ask you to go back after 1 month. orange peel usually appears within this time frame.

as for the hand glaze you can apply it anytime, but within 2 to 3 months(depending on the weather) do not apply any wax or sealant to let the paint cure properly.

after repainting, the painter wet sands the paint then buffs it to a gloss, that's within the week after painting and its part of the scope of work of repainting.

but what is not recommended is waxing the car at once, you have to let the paint dry and "breath out" the solvents, waxing it at once will prevent this and cause blurring or hazing of the paint.

    hello chuckie_bhoi,

try using the least aggressive approach and work your way up to more aggressive measures. use clay then cleaner wax first if it doesn't do the job use polish.

Good day to Big Bert's team,

May I know if there are plans for you to commercially sell Liquid Shine again? I used to buy it from BB Araneta but I heard lately that you are no longer selling it.

LS did wonders to my rides and I am hoping to get hold of some new stocks.

Are there other ways and means that i can purchase liquid shine?

    Need help

    thanks sirs!

microfibers are really made of polyester and nylon (polyamide). but these fibers are woven so fine. that they are safe for your paint. what will cause it to scratch the paint is the dust or dirt that is picked up by the MF cloth, so when buffing you have to use MF towels with more nap. and do not apply too much pressure on the towel.

as for the 3m chamois cloth i use it too on my car along with my jellyblade. i use one for upper parts and another for the lower parts.

After a long week of daily rainfall, a friend and I had our relatively new FD Civics undergo Optiguard at BB's Ortigas earlier today. Damn, got there at around 8AM and there were already 10 or so cars waiting ... seems a lot of people didn't get to wash their cars because of the rains. Hahaha.

Heard someone tried to break into the shop?! Hope everything was in order.

1 hour wait, and 2 hours for the first actual Optiguard session. Had fun chatting with the other car owners. Saw some nice rides from the peeps at ADB. Breakfast at Jay-J's. All in all, not a bad way to pass a Sunday morning.

our car just underwent the 1st session of big bert's optiguard program.

question, to maintain the shine caused by the sealant, do i just need to wash the car or do i need to wax it also? what specific wax (brand and type) do i need? is the step 3 waxes from mother's or meguiar's suitable or will those strip off the sealant?

    thanks.
