sir suggestion.. sana lagyan nang line yung wash area.. para pa slant ang pag park.. mahirap mag park nang diretso kasi makitid yung place.. kung pa slant.. eh di pag pasok diretso na lang agad..

thanks sir qwerty for the suggestion...pero cars would still be parked straight and not slanting since we are going to install shower curtains very soon. lalagyan pa din po namin ng lines after installing the curtains.

    Hi sir BBPD,

Regarding interior detailing (sedan - Lancer '93)

    1. Do I have to schedule or can I just bring it in anytime I am able?

    2. How many days would it take?

    Thanks

    Re: squeege blades for drying

Tim: So tell me about those scratchy, scrappy silicon thingy....
Paul: Its a weapons of mass destruction
    Tim: Is it really?
Paul: Its ruining one bit of grip and doing hundreds of pounds worth of damage in just an incident.
I know Big Bert's uses this to dry every vehicle. Care to comment?

    bbpd-araneta,
    Nice New Shop Location Sir.
There are some things that really bothers me yesterday
That i wanted to tell you right after washing my car
But i only told you that the boys didn't closed my CRV Tailgate/Glass properly. You remember me now sir?
Very thankful na di sya nabasag.

    1. You use Jelly Blade for Drying?
    2. You use Chamois for Drying? (nilapitan ko, di sya mukhang MF towel)
    3. You use Dirty (Almost Black) Wash mitts?

I don't personally use this things for washing and drying my car.
I also suggest na sana when they used the Wash Mitts for Lower Parts (Bumpers, Skirts, etc.)
Wag iakyat ulit to the Body Side. It will scratch the paint, after makuha yung dirts & muds sa lower parts.

I told you this sir because i have high expectations with your shop.
Dahil sa nababasa ko, recommendations. etc.
    Please understand.

    1. Yes we use California Water Blade to remove excess water. We then follow up with Microtex MF chamois.
    2. We use Microtex MF chamois. If you are referring to the usual chamois which is rubbery and squeaks when used for wiping, we dont use those.
    3. We use different sets of MF Wash Mitts. one for the upper panels, one for the lower panels and another one for mags, tires, fender liners. We change our mitts every 1-1.5 mos. We wash them regularly too.
Since we use different wash mitts for different sections, we dont tolerate using the washmitts not meant for its assigned panels. We will speak with our crew regarding following these instructions. We will also do our best to make sure, instructions are strictly followed.

Sir clarify ko lang. Was the glass hatch closed before the rear door? Kasi if it was closed first then the rear door, malamang mababasag yan.

Thank you for your inputs. These are highly appreciated to improve our services.

    number001,
We use California water blades in our shops. They dont cause scratches. Dirt does. Its how the user uses the product.
I've tried rubbing an MF towel using more than the usual pressure and swirls were evident after the test. But using the same towel with just the right amount of pressure, swirls were not introduced.
I've seen people in carshows using California or microtex dusters in such a way that they seem like rags on a stick. Upon closer look, swirls were heavy on the car. I was not too sure though if the swirls weren't there prior to using the duster or were they duster induced.

W have been using California water blades on our shop since day 1. W have not encountered any problem with it with regards to swirl marks or light scratches. Sometimes, it's how you use the product/equipment.

Regarding the video, I have some doubts since there were no pictures showing the car's paint condition before going to the carwash. If you still have doubts regarding the water blades, maybe we can ask MOMSPH to share his opinions since he is the one bringing in the Cali water blades.

Thanks for your inputs. blackmagic had already answered most of your concerns. If I may add, the Cali water blades and the Microtex Microfiber Chamois were specifically designed/made for the purpose of aiding in drying your car after a carwash and no other reason. May I ask what things you use in drying your car?

Regarding the washmitts, that is precisely why we have 3 washmitts. I will conduct an investigation and talk to our crew and remind them to follow our system for a proper carwash. Sorry if indeed there was a lapse on the washboy's part. Thanks for pointing it out.

For the glass hatch issue, the washboys usually don't fully close the trunk and glass hatch after drying. This is because we inspect every car after the carwash before turning it over to the customer. The vehicle's trunk is one of the areas we check.

By the way, I do own a Gen1 CR-V like yours so our washboys know that the tailgate must first be closed (even if not fully closed) before the glass hatch.

Sir can your company fix rubber bumper/fenders? it's an old car - Honda Accord 1988. The damage is the size of a fist on the front and half of it at the back and some scrapes on the front corner. The depth of the damage at the deepest point is around 1/4 of an inch. The material looks like rubber and most shops cannot fix it (I guess what they can do is the resin approach which is only good for fiberglass bumpers?).

    TIA.

    bbpd-araneta & BlackMagic,
Thank you for your humble explanations/replies sirs.
I personally use California Microfiber Towels (Yellow) 2PC for Drying.
If you said that this Microtex MF Chamois is good also for drying.
I must agree because you know whats better sir.

The CRV Tailgate is not fully closed while the Glass is fully closed.
The Glass sir could be misaligned, Bend & Curved.
You could see GAP from the Glass and Rubber.
(Sir i saw your CRV on HCP is that yours? Sir Jeffrey? HCP here too..)

    Thanks for Clarifying sirs
