just went to big bert's araneta this afternoon to purchase a few cleaning materials and to get some tips for DIY detailing

sobrang accomodating ni sir Paul! didn't hesitate to spare some time for me... answered all my questions and even gave some helpful tips! may sample pang cleaning ng sidings ko using APC! galing!

Tanong ko lang po how much is the cleaning ng Innova ceiling? Dami na po alikabok. My children prefer no aircon during morning travel, medyo maitim na po sya.

my interior is dirty as hell and i'm having trouble cleaning it, especially the headliner.

do you offer a product that would make cleaning easier for me?

Mag papa schedule ako ng optiguard after mapa full undercoating and sound deadening yung jazz 1.5 black.
Ano ang monthly maintenance na kailangan after the optiguard?

Optiguard usually takes about 6 to 8 hours.

I have a question.. Kasi yesterday, I had my Sentra undergo New Car Paint Protection. Just wanted to try it first before the doing Optiguard.

Dunno who I spoke with, medio singkit na guy, pero I asked him if ano difference ng one-time sa annual optiGuard. sabi nia ung extra detailing service lang daw. the rest is the same. (3mos sealant protection).

Question ko is bakit sabi po nio, it usually lasts 6-8 hours, but he said it should tale mga 3-4 hours, pero when i got home, i realized na ung sa ken kahapon is just 2.5 hours? (2:30PM - 5PM)?

anything i missed?

optiguard is a paint protection program for 1 year, which includes 3 quarterly maintenance session a 1 full exterior detail... if you the detailing bug gets you you can just apply a coat of Plain Carnuba Wax... for added shine and depth.

7 months had past, depending on how you maintained the car ( washing and drying procedures) you can avail of the wash and seal... or if swirl marks are evident you can avail os a stage 2 detail...

depending on paint condition, i gave a maximum time allowance.... when we see the car personally that's the time we can assess what needs to be done, if it need a maintenance session or avail of the full detail

as for you car taking 3-4 hours... i haven't seen your car personally... my guess since you availed of the NEW CAR PAINT PROTECTION your car is new, the paint is in good condition... hence the faster detail service.

wala naman, mabilis naman matangal kasi ang plain carnuba wax. about a week lang halos wala na. unlike sealant mas matagal.

magkano kaya aabutin nung kotse ko? nakasagasa yung tatay ko ng lata ng pintura yata un kaya may malilit na linya ng pintura sa may front door tsaka konti sa may rear. around 5 cm siguro ung haba ng linya pero manipis lang( around 3mm). Nung may/june pa yun nalinyahan ng pintura eh. makukuha ba yun ng 3stage exterior detailing? thanks.

I recently had my new Forester 09 worked on by my friend with Meguiars.
. Polish then wax ginawa nila. Sa polish, they used a hand rotor. Ayos, no swirl marks. Kintab lang talaga more than when it was first released sa subaru 5 days ago. We also did this with my 5 year old escape that I recently sold. Ok naman kasi so I decided to do it again with the new car.

You said that carnauba only last a week, while yung gamit mo 3 months. Do you think I should have optiguard or just wait after 6 months? Iyong optiguard price ba for 1 year na or initial lang?

Experience ko kasi sa meguiars 2 step, after a few car wash nawawala yung dulas. Yung kintab of course andyan pa din. Sa treatment mo, ano ang experience after car wash? Advice sa akin, water na lang muna if not too dirty.

my name is Jeffrey and I'm the one in charge of our Araneta branch. Usually our Optiguard maintenance sessions take around 2 to 4 hours while the detailing session takes around 6 to 8 hours.

there are cases when customers bring in their car which is more than a year old so we start with the detailing session as the first session while for cars which are relatively new or newly repainted (2 months after repaint) and in good condition, we start with the maintenance session as the first session of our Optiguard Paint Protection Program.

since your car is a new car, the maintenance session applies. actual process for sedans is around 2.5 hours. sometimes it takes longer depending on our load.

carnuba wax a natural compound has more depth and shine, with what we have observed, it being exposed to the elements and depending on your washing methods. with our hotter climate even garaged cars, waxes have a shorter life.

sealants on the other hand are polymers which bond to your paint. trade off is its not as shiny and deep as what a wax will produce. but protection is longer.

as for after washing nawawala ang dulas kasi wax will be stripped away by shampoo. pag SQUEKY na ang paint mo means ubos na wax mo. as for the shine its still there kasi its just the wax thats been stripped away. the paint is still clean.

wax and sealants are the sacrificial layers.
