Hello po mga boss,
I just have my car serviced at prens to replace the valve cover gasket, ito ang loob ng makina, maitim siya compared sa mga commercial ng tv hehe, sabi ng mekaniko kailangan daw i flushing para matangal ito. sinubukan namin tangalin at lumabas naman yung kintab ng metal parts. ang tanong ko lang ay:
1. how effective is flushing the engine to remove the black oil that covers the metal parts?
2. if flushing is the best way, what brand, how much liters of oil is needed for the process?
3. pwede ba ito maging effect ng oil na gamit ko? my oil is Apex semi synthetic / SAE 15w/50 (fortified with pertua oil additive). do i need to switch to imported oil?
naka 22K km na po ang kotse since last oil change, ride is civic 99. hope to hear some inputs sa inyo. TIA

22k since your last oil change? masyado na atang matagal yan. at the most 10k. Those black oil coating are the ones that protect your engine during start-up. peor nun sinabi mong 22k eh baka sludge na yan mga black patches sa engine components mo....hehehe.

thank you sir. meron bang equivalent ito para sa gas engine? gaano katagal i flush? i.e. 10mins engine at idle? then drain? thanks.
yup 22K km na. kaya due na ako for an oil change, yung apex oil na gamit ko originally red in color kaya palaging napapagkamalan na madumi na yung oil.thanks

Yes, kelangan ng flushing nyan and maybe you need to use 2 cans instead of just 1 dyan sa engine mo.
ok yung "Top 1" brand na engine oil, meron silang regular at may fully synthetic.
Then take it from here, make sure you do regular check-up ng ride mo, most especially nga yang engine oil.

Just stay away from whiz, used it once umusok fx ko badtrip.
***y welds! Apparently the subcon that makes the part replaced a worn welding tip but did not...
