very informative site. clicked every "how to's" .
nde pa ako nakakita ng waffle weave sa market.
David,
Have you seen the yellow "Eurow O'Reilly " microfiber car care towels being sold at PriceMart for 900 for 16 pcs 16" x 16"?
How are they categorized according to your article above?
Good for paint finish? or interiors only?
guys,
may demo kanina sa Ace hardware ang Microtex. yung sikat/commom na microfiber brand.
I'm not gonna ask about their MF as we all know that ok naman ang most of the MFs in the market. tanong ko lang yung drying fabric nila na mukhang chamois pero hindi... yung kulay violet. seems really effective in drying and at the same time is not sticky as normal chamois.
Scratch free din kaya ito? parang suede eh. what do you think of this material?
ty
damn... i gotta stop using those el cheapo MF towels for my paint.
btw... yung Microtex Chamois ko... medyo soiled na... paano alisin ung dumi?

mazda2, i think you can just put them in a washing machine after using it para matanggal kaagad ang dumi. kasi kung hindi siya nalinis kaagad, mas mahirap matanggal ang dumi.
bad driver, i think the violet is the suede type. mas ok pa rin ata ang chamois (yellow) for drying.
guys,
do you use the back side of the microtex red and green towels? one side if fluffy, but the other side is not.
I usually wash the towel right after use... i do hand wash hehehe![]()
bm5er: Sorry, but Eurows suck if you're after quality. You can clearly see that the fibers are not pantay pantay, that equates to poor finishing and the fibers arent' split as well. The backing material is also made of cheap backing material, hence the weight of the middle part. As stated in the article, the production cost differences of split fibers and good threads of good MF vs cheap ones are huge.
M2: Just wash the stains with JOY or something then wash as usual.
Cardo: Both sides are fine, if you're trying to buff damp, the short side is better.
bad driver: I doubt if you can find better MF than Microtex honestly. Im not saying this because we sell it, but the fact is, we wont sell it if it didn't pass our standards as well. We QA a lot of the first batches of Microtex MFs before they came out of the market and the finishing and production quality of Microtex far excels even the US stuff we bought before like Microfibertech and Pakshak.
The towel you mentioned is the MF Suede of MT, it's used for hard smooth surfaces. Final buffing for waxing or glass cleaning will be good for that. Not drying. Stick to the chamois and the upcoming elite.
ILD: Sept daw pre, along with the long strand washmitts
Many thanks for the input David. Gawin ko na lang kaya pampunas sa kusina? he, he
O kaya, pampunas ng mags na lang.....
Mmm.. can I use ordinary detergent bar to wash my MFs? been washing with detergent bars ever since, or am I doing it wrong? wala namang sigurong fabric sofener yung detergent bar, Surf gamit ko pang laba :D.
Dave: Meron kayang MF applicator yung microtex?
ok lang but they're a bit harsh on fabrics, i usually use joy.
I dont think gagawa sila, di daw worth it eh (taas production cost)
ok theveed, bili na lang ako ng joy :D Do you also use joy on foam applicators?
Alright! Makabili nga ng joy, hirap na hirap ako maglaba ng foam applicator... hehehe
dapat habang naghuhugas ka with joy... may matching song & dance number (c/o Michael V)...Originally Posted by ILuvDetailing
