yung iba... wirants... sheets... squarebars puros imported...
madami tayong factory.. sa pilipinas but alot of them do not manufacture anymore. ginagamit nalang nila factories nila as front para makapag parating ng china and makabenta ng hindi hinuhuling anti-dumping..

December 19th, 2009 04:41 PM #1202Gandang araw po sa lahat. While it is true that we are not at par with our neighboring countries when it comes to building our own engine, we still have some skills and the capabilities to do some parts of car building ourselves -yun nga lang most of it the bodywork.
My idea of designing a pinoy uv would have it start by analyzing the economics of the project first. Di ba the main reason why the design of the puj has gone unchanged for decades (malapit na maging century :D ) is because of the way they try to maximize the sheets? Then it is here that economists and designers should sit down together (preferably over a beer or two) and discuss feasibility of design.
Only when a feasible balance on paper has been achieved should the actual work progress, that way we wouldn't be wasting a lot of funds.
0.02 worth (or less maybe).

December 20th, 2009 03:21 PM #1203i strongly disagree with you 1 million percent! it would give us a footing kung meron tayong steel idustry but economic 101 - japan doesnt have a steel industry yet they were able to produce a better engine, heck wala nga raw material sa japan eh kaya nga napreserve nila yung ganda ng environment nila kasi walang mga minahan kasi walang raw material, as a matter of fact lahat inimport nila since late 1800 to this day! kaya nga sumali mga hapon sa world war 2 para ma monopolize and makuha niya lahat ng raw material sa asia kasi nag embargo u.s. sa kanila.
and yung steel industry ng india ngayon lang gumanda ng ma aquire ni mittal yung mga steel mills sa euorpe, pero in thier local india eh tagaputol at recylce lang ng mga lumang barko source nila ng steel na mura kasi mura labor and mura and madali ma bypass toxic laws sa kanila.

December 20th, 2009 03:26 PM #1204if we can make freaking fake guns with crude machineries(maganda baril ng danao hehehehehehe ang kulang lang ay grooves para straight yung tragectory ng bala) paano pa kaya kung meron tayong matinong machineries para gumawa ng engine.
kailangan natin national will! we can get the raw materials madali na yun!

we are more at par with the, we even excel, fyi karamihan ng mga engineers natin sila naghihire and madami pang professionals, yung oilfields sa saudi arabia mga filipino contractor gumawa noon, yung palasyo ng sultan ng brunei pilipino nag design and nagconstruct!
yung mga old rich lang kasi dito satin yung mga spanish na ayala, mga intsik na tan and coujangco or yuchengco ay ayaw mag pondo kasi sila mga franchiser ng mga honda ford and etc.. gusto lang ng mga hinayupak na yan ay pagkakitaan ang bansa natin, pag nagkagera baka mga hayop na yan una pang umalis sa bansa natin sila nagpapabagsak ng sarili natin auto industry, tingnan niyo ginawa ng toyota sa sarao binanatan nila by producing a tamaraw f.x. with almost the same price plus aircon pa. sarao naman di nakaganti ayun bagsak.

sir.. wala po tayo talaga steel industry.. wala tayo hi grade streels sa pinas.. i am in steel industry po.. madami pong grade ang steel.. may mga sikreto pagtimpla.. and madaming makina kailangan.. i dont know saan nakukuha ng japan steel nila... but hi grade steel in philippines are from japan.. including seamless pipes po.. now not all are made in japan... some hi grade steel is already made in china but japanese owned ang factories.. iba po sir steel natin...

I've been saying the same thing but who listens to me, right?
They think I am just a negative-thinking know-it-all.
But deep inside, they know what I said is what is real.
No matter how much they repeat the words "the Filipino can", it will not change the situation we are in nor the nature of the problem.

December 21st, 2009 02:02 AM #1209again, i strongly disagree with you thre billion percent, again uulitin ko lang ang japan walang steel industry they just import again import steel of all grades, kahit yung pang gawa ng kitana (some called this samaurai blade) nila imported iron ore yun from china! yung mga gawa sa danao recycled iron yun worst mga water pipes yung mga yun i just made it a point na kung kaya natin gumawa ng fake, that almost looks like the original it means we could do better! we can import raw matrials or better yet make a synthetic one.

December 21st, 2009 02:05 AM #1210* AC ang ginagawa ng japan is the import the raw material which is the iron ore na mura nilang nabibili then they process it na binebenta nila ng mas mahal at iba ibang grade.
