It's slightly off-topic, yes... but the way the design addresses the issues of packaging and safety can be drawn from as an inspiration for a three-wheeler of similar design.

Many successful small cars and kit cars have alternated between three-wheeled and four-wheeled variants... such as the Messerchmitt, early Morgans and the Scorpion (based on BMW running gear... early versions were 3-wheeled, but newer ones have four).

    As light as possible.

Four would be the minimum to make it a practical motorbike/tricycle alternative, but more would be better.

Has to be easy to source and maintain, as well as economical. Should be anywhere between 150-600cc.

Whatever suits the project best. Naturally, big wheels, as in the concept, aren't going to be optimum for this kind of thing.

Something is better than nothing... the front end needs work, but from the windshield back, it's actually pretty neat. Besides... fixing the front end will just take a little creativity with fiberglass... The supporting frame should be more solid, though, for better crash safety.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

In terms of crashworthiness, neither does a tricycle. But it imrpoves the safety aspect in terms of stability and weather protection. I think with a properly triangulated cage or even just thicker bars, it can be made safe, too. At least safe enough for low-speed B-road use.

I agree with GH... the sidecar design is not as practical as the tripod design, which can be lengthened for four-person seating.

Not really that much... and the plexiglass is hard to see out of when it gets scratched. You can use it for the side windows to keep weight down, though.

    swing up door-roof

Gull-wing doors require a wider space to swing open, even more than traditional car type swing out doors.
