Are you guys serious with your maintenance costs?

I just paid P21K the other day for my 2016 Tucson GLS CRDi's 40K km PMS at Hyundai Sucat. And I supplied my own oil. Expensive items were the ATF (P4.9K), labor (P3.6K), fuel filter (P2.9K) and the "evaporator fins cleaning" (P2.2K).

Well, tbh, Hyundai Philippines' service costs are stupid. But I do what I can do maintain the warranty. In comparison, the maintenance cost for our diesel Kias (2014 Sorento and 2015 Soul) are quite a bit cheaper.

Anyway, I'm considering a Porsche Cayman S. How much am I looking at per year in maintenance costs? Will it be over P100K a year? And do you think it'll be reliable with just regular PMS? It'll be using it every other day. I'll be doing some spirited driving occasionally though. No track days for sure. I just want something fast, nimble and can be daily driven.

I have no idea with the new 4cyl turbo but if it is the older NA flat-6 assuming you do not do over 10t kms a year. you are looking at 25-50k once a year service however every 4th year you have to undergo "heavy" maintenance then it will cost you at the very least approx 80k. additional pa any unforeseen repairs. also since everything is turbocharged now it is safe to assume you might be spending more pa.

in my experience with eurocars it is actually more economical and less prone to breaking stuff if you use them on a regular basis rather than let them sit for weeks at a time.

When I see a bill for 12k and the main thing done was an oil change I'd say I feel like I was fleeced.

of course you can always service your car yourself.

some people can actually afford german cars and its usual maintenance cost. 12k is small change for some.

VW507 approved oil like the hard to find Castrol Edge 5W-30 longlife. It is once a year PMS wherein oil, air, cabin filters are replaced and fuel filter (for TDI) the next year. I don't have an Audi but I have a 2017 VW Jetta TSI (TFSI) which basically follows the same PMS routine. For a once a year PMS it is not expensive at all.

Earlier this week, I spoke with my trusted auto mechanic about how much the average person should budget for auto repair and maintenance. These are the numbers he gave me: On average $1, 200 per year per vehicle, is a great place to start.

One said that its REALLY expensive and said that just hooking it up to the computer of the Audi service will cost you 70k php. Besides that you will pay for the maintenance cost.
I don`t know if this is true and would like to know to people who own Audi`s on how much it really cost.

    Thank you
Its the labor cost that kills ur wallet. Not the parts.
