For that price, i'd rather get a BMW 530d hehehe
I am thinking of getting a second hand Audi TT. What are the pros and cons of the TT? I have heard that the TT is besieged with problems. Is this true?
...unless if its the quattro variant. parang di worth it for a FWD "sports car".
The 1.8 Turbo engines are reputed to be very problematic... but they've got excellent power potential. The maintenance cost will be pretty high compared to more common secondhand Japanese sportscars in the same price range.
The handling is supposedly pretty ordinary compared to the looks, but, of course, the looks are the selling point of the car. Still, there are faster and better handling secondhand sportscars (even FWD ones) at the same price.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Driven a friend's older TT before and for me, pros are it looks like a sportscar and has very nice interiors. FWD is ok naman, of course RWD and AWD are better but unless you are canyon carving all the time, I don't think its a very big deal.
Bad parts? Hmm...it doesn't drive that fast (chipped 1.8T), windows are very small making it hard to see what's happening outside, and claustrophobic feeling inside.
I agree with what everyone has said. It's still a nice car though. I would get one for the right price. I dropped by the dealer recently and sat in the new TT. Much much better imo than the outgoing model. It was the 3.2 quattro model. I liked it til I saw the price. 48KFor that much money I'm walking over to the Porsche dealership to pick up a Boxster

D rin maganda ang reputation nyan dito, tinatawag nilang "hairdresser's car". In short, pang bading o pangbabae!! To be fair, halos lahat nga nang nakikita kong driver nyan dito is female.
Haved worked at Porsche/Audi dealership here in Northern Cali, I wouldn't recommend getting an Audi unless it's an S or RS4 model.

Audi/VW gets a bad rap for reliability and cost of ownership, but in my experience so far, i have no problems
pros:
looks (subjective)
badge (also subjective)
cons:
performance not the best for the money
only 2 seats
mapagsasabihan ka na mahilig sa TT![]()
Lets talk about the old TT since the new TT's price is just way too absurd to even consider one. 4+ million can already buy you a nice porsche boxter or an M3. A second hand 2002 TT can be had for 1.4M which is reasonable enough plus the fact that most units have very low mileage. However i have heard of horror stories with regards to the reliability of the old manual TT. I also heard that one of the cons of owning a roadster is that its a very likely target in malls and public parking places for defacement. You are likely to get a lot of deliberate scratches, dents and whatever from people who resent the fact that you own one and they dont. Another is the road noise and the heat. Can anyone confirm if these are facts with owning a TT?
Almost any nice car is a target for scratches and kicks in parking lots. Hell... someone threw a stone at one of our vehicles... and it was a Crosswind!
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
The TT sure look very similar with the ford focus.
Nevertheless, its a great looking car!
