    Hi,

    I see the Audi Q7 SUV at Rockwell today, and all I can say is WOW! Super Ganda exterior and interior... 4.2liter v8 pala ito... ganda and price according to the sales rep is 7.5M... wow again!

    I'll try to post pics tom... medyo malabo nga lang...

    I think the much smaller 5-seater RR Sport is more of a Touareg/Cayenne competitor than a Q7 competitor.

    The Audi Q7 is based on an extended version of the Porsche Cayenne/ VW Touareg platform. Q7 has a 118.2 in wheelbase vs Cayenne/Touareg's 112.4 in wheelabse. The Q7's longer wheelbase/overall length also allows it to have 3rd row seats.

    Audi Q7 4.2 Quattro



    The Q7's 4.2 liter V8 produces 350 hp and 441 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed A/T.

    Unlike the Touareg's 4MOTION system which has a central locking differential and a low-range transfer case, the more road-oriented Q7's Quattro system uses a Torsen limited-slip center differential which is RWD biased (40:60 in normal conditions).

    From the Audi Q7 article in today's Manila Bulletin Motoring section:
    The Audi Q7 3.0 TDI is initially offered at P5.995M while the Q7 4.2 FSI will be in the ballpark of P6.3M.

    Its related to the V8 of the Touareg. This new 4.2 liter FSI V8 will also be used in other upcoming 2007 V8 Audis and VWs.

    Porsche has their own 4.5 liter V8.

    According to the article ive read, its 5086mm long and has a wheelbase of 3002mm. BMW's X5 measures 4667mm and WB of 2820mm. Merc ML 350 has a length of 4788mm and WB of 2913mm. Ford Expedition measures 5382mm and WB of 3025.
