tol!! my son have a 2002 audi a4 quattro.. drives really cool!! fast and very stylish car..downside is when they break down is very expensive especially on electronics or sensors so you might want to keep up with scheduled maintenance to avoid breakdowns..or your engine light indicator will drive you crazy it will turn on & off as they please even if there is nothing wrong with the car very sensitive sensors...good luck..

alright. i joined this forum for the purpose of buying audi parts in phils when i get back home (i think mas mahal kc dto s cnda).
para dun sa orig. post: i drive a 98 audi a4 1.8t FWD. currrently has 286xxx clicks and still runs like charm. i was told 300k kms are nothing for these cars. they are "the beast", dude. now, thats for the engine part. but of course there are still some maintenance parts that has to be replaced as for the normal wear and tear. i have to agree with the one who says about bad electronic chorva.
im a DIY type of driver so i try to fix my own car if i can. parts that i replaced so far.. 4 NGK iridium spark plugs, 1 oem ignition coil, bosch ignition control module, MAF and pipe that runs from the turbo into the intercooler.
first thing u have to buy along with the car is a VAG COM or an OBD II scanner. what it is is a scan tool u hook up into ur car and it will diagnose whats wrong with ur car. very helpful when u're a DIY type of owner like me. simple things like that will save ur pocket from the dealership a.k.a. stealership. ahahah
mas ma-aapreciate mo mga ganitong tipong oto pag nag browse ka sa ibang audi forums. helpful din pag kelangan mo tips about DIY. try mo audiforums.ca , a4mods.com

para sakin naman, makikisuyo ako kung san ako makakita ng audi parts sa pinas metro manila area? at possibly audi or VW mechanic for consulation. my car is hard to start everytime i refuel. salamat mga brad..
sana meron meet up this december para makita ko mga oto nio. sakin nakapost sa fb. emeth.emeth*hotmail.com
    salamat ule.

You can buy parts from Carabelle in Espana. They are about to transfer tho in April to G.Araneta ave near So-En. You can call their cell at 0922 852 6586 to confirm location and prices first. In general, Audi parts in Philippines will be double what you see in the US due to taxes & shipping so better if you have contacts who can ship from the US or China OEM manufacturers.

I've been looking at some late 90s 320is when I chanced upon an A4 that's similarly priced. Uh-oh, looks like I want the A4. I can tell that the late 90s 320i is dated, however, when I look at an A4, I can't tell what year it came out.

I wonder if TS has any feedback on the A4 he bought hehe. I'm leaning more towards the A4 because fewer people have it compared to the 320i, I don't know, I just want something that most people don't have.
