For the past three weeks, I been trying to figure out kung saan ung leak nung aircon ko.

    Things done so far.

    1. Replaced aircon compressor same specs, surplus, maganda pa higop, manual test (the old one has tik-tik problems), DONE
    2. Replaced the hose connected to the compressor, DONE
    3. Inspected all pipes connection (Ung mga naka kabit), using sabon method, DONE
    4. Inspected condenser, evap, pipes, etc, DONE
    5. Replaced all o-rings.

RESULT: I got cold aircon, no tiktik. Un lang nag babawas nang freon after 3/4 days.

    Shop 1:
    - Replaced o-rings
    - Test using pressure (naka kabit pa ung compressor)

    Findings:
    - We refill the freon, pero after 4 days nawawala.
    - They can't find the leak.

    Last usapan:
    - They want to bring down the compressor, to have it pressured check (lagyan nang hangin)-- hold ko muna

    Shop 2:
    - Inspection sa mga pipes and evap, etc
    - Test using pressure (naka kabit pa ung compressor)

    Findings:
    - Can't find the leak, checked all fitings.
    - They're guessing it might be the compressor, nag o-overheat? kaya nag babawas nang freon. They're saying pangit ung compressor?

What do you think?

I suggest you visit Ceejay's in Las Pinas first since their location ( I think) is nearer to your area. If you do visit Mang Mario's, make sure you get there early in the morning since many motorists with AC problems line up their cars leading up to the shop.

    hope this help.

Leaking compressor usually dont show positive in 'soap bubbles method'. The shaft seal is concealed deep behind other parts. If oil is present as they said, then there is really a big probability the leak is coming from the compressor.

You really need to look closer with extra lighting to look for oil behind the pulley and clutch coil_ or really have to pull the compressor out for pressure/leak test under water.

How much is the brand new compressor for your car, it could be more economical in the long run than having it repaired. Or baka pwede pang ibalik dun sa surplasan.

BNew Sanden 508 compressor used for big cars and vans cost around 4k only.
